Powercoin has some Nethash and trading going on here http://www.coins-e.com/exchange/PWC_BTC/
Any chance of listing it again? I know of the attack but many coins come back after being hit ...
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

how does one go about getting a coin listed on this website.

I need the coin to be on an exchange with a clean API (Cryptsy, Vircurex, MCXNow, BTC-e, BTER) and a functional block explorer.  I also need to know hot to calculate the block reward if it is variable.

Sal, Luckycoin is not updating correctly on your site.

Titan

Is it now?  Looks like my local daemon stopped updating.

Is it trading again on Cryptsy?  Coins-e hasn't gotten their API in place yet.

Sal - great work, but please can you include the 7-day average in the API. Additionally, I'd appreciate a 7-day adjusted ratio average. At the moment I'm scraping the site every 180 seconds and pumping the data into Mongo to maintain my own history, but it would be a great deal easier if I could just hit the API:)

Bump...?

Incidentally, this returns null: http://www.coinchoose.com/jsondata.php?hours=168

Both are coming Smiley

It is not. Wasn't aware Coins-e doesn't have an API in place yet. Thanks.

With regards to BitGem you can use the Block Explorer that I setup based upon Block Crawler. I've modified it to display the last block reward:

http://btgblockexplorer.is-very-good.org/block_crawler.php

I also have one for BOT here:

http://bottlecaps.kicks-ass.net/block_crawler.php

I'm sure you can parse the information you need from the front page easy enough.

EDIT: I've made it easier for you. You can get the information in JSON format here:

BitGem:
http://btgblockexplorer.is-very-good.org/json.php

BottleCaps:

I just wanted to mention that the current block reward for Goldcoin (GLD) is 500 and not 400. Thank you.

Switched to back-up daemon.  Hopefully it keeps going until blockexplorer is back up.

It was 400 until the last fork and is currently 500. It won't drop back to 400 until block 31500. Thanks for updating.  Smiley

Is it just 400 at block 31500 or are there other planned changes?

As the getnetworkhashps method doesn't work on these PoS/PoW coins I've added a pool_hashes_per_sec value to the json output. In the case of Bottlecaps it is the combined total from the following pools:

With BitGem the only 2 working pools I can find:

It's not perfect as it doesn't take into account solo miners but it's better than nothing. Wink

it would be nice if you add the "Avg Profitability Past 7 Days" in the API too.

or please, show me how you calculate it based on the other data included in the API

thank you.
