This asshole published my private key!

Almost one week now running the bot to check for balances on these keys.  No luck yet.  Pretty hard to believe because my bot can scan fast. 

Well, it's been running for about two weeks now.  It is pretty efficient for sure.  But, I've got no luck yet.  I've gone through 10000s of pages of addresses.  None seem to have any balances.  I've actually set up 3 old computers to each run the bot.  So now I am going at 3X speed from last week.  I am looking on EBAY for cheap computers.  Maybe I'll get between about 5 - 10 more scanning the keys.  It a 'RawDog form of mining'!

I had some developer steal a lot of my altcoin because he had access to my private keys for a wallet. That was quite devastating to me but am picking up the pieces and I never give up. Just try to keep your private keys private and never trust anyone with them, just my two bits.

As I noticed all of these private keys start from number '5'. So all of these are in unencrypted wallet format. If we convert them to BIP-38 i.e start from '6P' as have been proposed https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/bip38-password-encrypted-wallets/. I don't know if the website owner, OP had mentioned in his first post would be lucky, to find some.

I don't want even to check that list. I don't know how people takes such kind of information and where. I can understand the panic that people make from that, cause of then more bitcoins you have then more panic you are. Normally.

You should have known that private keys should NEVER be shared. Sharing them means the persons who see them can use them for anything at any time. It's basically the key to your wallet. Even with cold wallets you need to be very careful because you never know when someone hacked your PC and sees your private key before printing it out.

Going a little bit slow - but I still think it works.  My scanner is running on an old machine.  Every day, each day.  I'll hit the mother lode soon.  I can feel it.

I am certain yours is there.  All the keys are there. 

And as a Public Service Announcment, it should really be stressed that, should you look thru the list and recognize your key, it is imperative not to show this in any facial movement expressing shock/surprise/horror.
It's estimated that up to 30,000,000 laptop and phone cameras are now compromised, with autorun enabled when such topics are searched¹.
It's then a simple job for the hacker to cross reference focal point/page content/facial expression and be able to define which is your key on the list.

What somewhat frightens me is that this dude doesn't need to find exactly your pin number, he just needs to find one pin number which would match a really existing one. So it doesn't matter if it might really require many millions or billions of years to find all the keys. The guy may just get lucky and find only one private key from an existing wallet with some balance. This thought makes me feel a little uneasy, to be honest.

You should feel uneasy.  We already wrote a bot to do just that.  And it is running now.  If I find your key, your bitcoin will be gone in an instant.  I can guarantee that.

This all spunds like a fake, you know. Private kay is unbreakable, so you can only give it to smb or use a fake access site (pseudo-blockchain). Keep calm. If your money was still with you when you were writing the post, I guess you knew it's safe and unreal. Well, anyway, just clear up the computer, get another wallet and set  a new password.

No, I don’t think there are my private keys published on that site (or anyone’s keys having bitcoin in it). It’s randomly generated keys (not even sure if those are working or not) but since it is possible to create bulk of addresses and private keys, it is likely to be the bunch of wallets with 0 balance in it. Now, since there are extreme possibilities of creating number of wallets, it is something that we shouldn’t worry about it.

PS : Even on the site footer, admin states "It took a lot of computing power to generate this database." so they keys or not hacked nor stolen but generated so you can't generate a key for already generated / existing address.

Your keys are published on the site my stupid friend.  Denial won't cause them to disappear.  On one of those pages, you'll find your key - precisely.  Exposed for all others to see and use to send your bitcoin to their wallet.

You should feel uneasy.  We already wrote a bot to do just that.  And it is running now.  If I find your key, your bitcoin will be gone in an instant.  I can guarantee that. 

I don't feel uneasy because you could find my key specifically, this is very unlikely itself. I'm more afraid that you can just find one active key purely by luck. That seems to be your only chance, though I wouldn't bet that you will get it at all. That said, using tactics intended at deliberately arousing fear are not good and counterproductive, which is what you are apparently doing here. So I hope you will get a permaban soon.

He is a rat bastard and he must have stolen the master list somehow.  All I know is I am not comfortable having the key to my millions of $$ right on the internet on a very convenient site that anyone can use to look it up.  This pisses me off.  There is no way bitcoin is secure if all the keys are published in the open like that.

I dont think there is a private key listed on this site. He has just randomly created the private keys which are not the actual private keys. Nothing to panic here.

They are real private keys. It's just there's so many pages of them (904625697166532776746648320380374280100293470930272690489102837043110636675 pages) that you are likely to grow old and die before you find the address you're looking for.

Even getting a random address with balance in them would be harder than winning the lottery. Except the ones on the front page which gets some bitcoins every now and then only to be moved away milliseconds after.

seriously? he made that pretty much pages. unbelievable! I have seen the site and there are so many of them. lucky them who are on the last page.

anyway have anyone here found their address with right private keys yet? it's just unbelievable that someone or some people can know that much private keys. and how long do you think he made the site?

there are sites for that too where you enter your private key to search the obviously fake "d-a-t-a-b-a-s-e" and obviously what that site does is instead of searching for it, it does a quick sweep to empty that address!

if you search OP had included a link to one of these stupid scamming method before!

i actually been playing around with this and i think i understand how its working..

basically, the page numbers generate fake keys.. they are all there tho.. but its not ones bitcoin core would generate..

you can generate a bitcoin address from any key starting with 5.. so just type in random numbers and you get a bitcoin address.. you can send coin to it.. but its not one that would be normally generated..

now, when you give the site YOUR key.. the site will use that key to unfake the list so to speak and show you a page with a bunch of random keys plus your own.. by changing the last few digits of your key.

i have no doubt this guy isnt recording those keys.. dont put your own in that you plan on using. i used vanitygen to generate a random one.

but more than likely every single address on this list will have a zero balance except the first few pages that someone has "tested to see if it works"
