For long term invetement i would advice you to buy litecoins as for me the risk of having a loss is least in this.It may not give you instant profit but as a long term plan i trust litecoins and really hope it will have some decent increase in the price.Others you can buy ethers or dash as well.

150 dollars in bitbay - good solid developer and the product has plenty of possible benefits to everyone.

100 dollars in pivx - good solid development so far and is quite a nice opportunity to get on something early (perhaps if it does not die out)

50 bucks .. 10 bucks on 5 outsiders on yobit and hope for a pump

i don't think that investing 300 usd in altcoin is a good option for long term and i think you can use that money to make investing in bitcoin only because only bitcoin that will have good opportunity to be investment for long term. i mean if you want to buy altcoin, don't make it as investment but sell the coins with short term so you can get benefit in bitcoin.

I would say the best investment for 300 usd is at the moment purevidz,

This will depend on how you are determine for that matter. And it is nice and better to use half of your investment in trading. And my suggestion to you it is much better for to invest in bitcoin, or some legit altcoins that has established big community in crypto world.
And by 2020, no one knows, it might our investment become double, trpple, or more by that time.

Great question and everyone will have a different one. First off, have the majority of your investment in Bitcoin because that's the only reason Altcoins are alive today and Bitcoin even though risky, is a lot less risky then alts, but alts have potential besides the fact most are pump and dump.

For me, after going through many alts over the past year, I would say WAVES, Stratis, Lisk, NEM, VeriCoin, Boolberry, Decred, NXT which includes Ardor as an asset, all these coins have something to offer, granted some will fail, some could be where Ethereum was and continue to grow, but the biggest thing is what the coin can offer, that means from the wallet to the community, to the features of the project, read the whitepaper, do research, read the forums, study up on the coins before you put any money into it, and do realize Alt coins are like penny stocks, as fast as they rise, they fall. $300 is already good enough to invest for short term to those alt coins that are just going to pump while its ICO. And when the ICO is done they will just going to dump that coin. Its your own choices of those altcoin and i dont have any information on the coin that you have mentioned.Each people do really have its choices when it comes to alts. You are right alts are good for short term but depends if you choosed the right coin.If not then you will be a bag holder of shitcoins.

My theory is that one should invest in min 3 ways.
I definitely think there is no way to long invest in altcoins up to 2020 with 1~3 expections, which are: bitcoin, ethereum, your altcoin choice.
If there is no long term investment we are left with short or/and mid term. With such a buzz with new cryptos and ventures I'd be cautious to invest without good research.
As for short solution - trading seems a viable thing, it surely requires some more research and some planning, but there are patterns, i.e. decred had a nice pump with 5-10 altcoins, as I monitor Polo.
I would invest 1 share in Bitcoin, 1 share in Ethereum and 1 share I would invest in a big project like ASCendancy.

It is best to invest in Bitcoin. This is the most stable cryptocurrency that only rise. Of course, altcoins can earn much more, but there are risks and nuances. If you do not plan to permanently interested altcoins their news, the choice of one - Bitcoin.

I would always recommend one of my favourite altcoins, NEM. It is a currency that uses a unique POI algorithm to decide how many coins are earned.
It also working on making mosaics (tokens with value) which people would be able to distribute. Also, it's not a dodgy coin, it has a market cap of almost $50 million (and yes, of course I own some).
