I agree that  to be able to correctly predict the otucome  in sports betting, one must have acquired the skill of using the knowledge gathered on each team to his advantage.  Having this skill will give you an advantage of knowing who will have a bigger chance of winning between the two team.

Both would  be really needed  in able to  be successful on a certain thing  like  on   trading. Luck  wont work  alone  especially on trading  without skills  because  you would not  know   on how to use it. Yeah you need both, but in trading, skill plays a bigger part moat of the time. You can be lucky yes but that is not going to happen all the time and when you depend on luck, there's a pretty chance that you will lose money more than those people who study how trading works

In gambling only. But that doesnt mean it will always go your way. There are house rules and they wouldnt want getting broke just by letting players win all the time. The key is make them addicted by letting them win then they will get it back.
Skills are really different. Yes it can be used in some gambling games like poker but a great skill is needed including skill in lying.

As quoted luck plays an big role in profiting, though the person doesn't have much skills. At the same luck won't give a constant earning, because every time luck won't stay with certain persons. Skill is not like that, we can make strategies and move on to get a constant earning. I believe that the person with skills is always lucky.
