Is BURST ded or alive or both?

It's alive but not working well at the moment due to various attacks and some pools not having recovered.

This is why I can't wait for Burst 2.0 to be released as it was talked about on the last Burst Nation public meeting. Hopefully once that is released we won't have anything happen like what just happened last week. I also think that the price will recover once people start to see that the network is more secure then what we currently have. And this time around I think Burst will go above 1k sats once all this is released.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

I see this warning on poloniex and it is worrying me. In addition, I recently learned  that one of the major burst investors Crowetic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.msg20157521#msg20157521
participants go out from Burst. So now it is too risky an investment for me.

What are the interesting storage quantities to start working with BURST? Do I need to buy some coins to start mining? At the moment I own 2.5 TB, is it too little or can I start? How many dollars will I get in 30 days?

Yes you can start with 2.5TB but don't expect to mine to much or earn that many coins with that amount. Well to set up mining with a pool you will need at least 1 Burst coin for the fee and then need to wait 4 blocks before opening up the miner. I recommend you at least have 5TB or even 10TB to get started mining Burst but like I said 2.5TB is okay if you join a pool that the average is around 2TB to join. I can't find the list of pool's at the moment but when I find an up to date list I'll post it here or maybe someone else can help.

I'd suggest to start learning how to sync a local one it's really not that difficult and it actually helps the network.

Install the current 1.2.9 wallet on your own machine, then you don't have to worry about using web wallets.

Took me about 10 hours to sync it up from scratch couple days back - NOT using the new "opencl" GPU support as I didn't manage to get that "experimental" stuff to work.

You can also download the blockchain which would make it quicker just copy and paste the db file to your wallet's folder, do a google search "download Burstcoin blockchain".

Why can't I ever access https://wallet.burst-team.us/ it always times out or can't be reached. I've seen mention elsewhere talk about DDoS attacks? However I have had issues accessing this url from my browser and the wallet client for over a month now, its been hit or miss but mostly miss.

Don't think he's gotten main site back up after attacks yet.  Forums are up though here - https://forums.burst-team.us
