BURST will be delisted on May 17th POLONIEX Price dump!! ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) Sad news. This was the only coin I bought equipment just to mine it. This coin never got its shit straight over the years. I realized something fishy was going on in r/burstcoin when I saw the sub admin's retarded attitude over the users. (I believe that guy is also on btctalk with a red trust, riko smth) I still decided to mine and hodl... (because the idea was good) Shortly after he left the project. All happened suddenly when nobody was expecting. Bad investment. Shitcoin. Retarded devs. Sad. Maybe the new devs can revive the project but don't have much hopes at this point.

All of what you saw on reddit is now in the past. The person you reference, and the Proof of Capacity consortium has left Burst and started on their own projects. Maybe Burst could have been called a shitcoin a few years ago, but not in the past year and a half. It is a solid crypto, Stick around. Just today I was sitting here quit surprised at the work being done, and new people joining in. We currently have the release of the new Wallet UI, Phoenix which is awesome. People joining in on creating videos, tutorial and promotional, Nice work going on with upgrading the wiki, lots of behind the scenes stuff with the apps team (nothing that should be public yet), and great work in the smart contracts area... right now you can actually make smart contracts in Java and put them on chain. (it's not all the way complete, but it's come a long way fast). New pool software being worked on, the new watchdog network monitor software, new explorer... I'd say in the last few months, this group of people has done some amazing stuff. There is more development going on here than many, many other projects. We're not going anywhere ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Now, a significant fraction of the Burstcoin community feels betrayed, and the PoCC has lost reputation and trust. Since Burstcoin is decentralized, it will eventually recover from this, but the weeks and months ahead could be very turbulent as the full details of this merge mining saga are exposed. Ultimately, this could result in a change in Burstcoin (BURST) community leadership. It did. Even if half of what's written in the article is true I am going to leave rico666 a negative trust rating for fucking up the project.

This delisting and price drop is really sad from my pov. It's now the second time I fall on my knees with burst but this time I'm not going to sell a single coin like last time. Hopefully I do the right decision, will see!

I really wasn't aware of what was going on with BURST and how rico666 killed the project but I just came across to an article via
This coin was one time earlier killed by a gambler MiketheMug and his companions, quite tough thing is this burstcoin and for some reason or other attracts opportunists.

Yes, "King of Spam" -- he has many nicknames. First hard blow to Burst was when original developer abandoned the project.

I see, first one I dont care about (probably many novice got nailed) second, can happen like life events stress financial etc, looks to me "new management" is solid and calm and steady thanks for the info, POW on cheap is very viable in the right hands

Bunch of documents and a magic apparatus for bundling together sheets of paper. That is called staple. Poloniex will come stronger than ever before, and staple up ur ass for fuding & slating their business.

thought this forum is about burst not about poloniex, just want to add that whatever current "management" did made network very stable, it was easy to sync up chain (instructions with the db worked excellent)
next thing I will try is desktop wallet
from the tech point of view, coin is more than solid, extending thanks here to the "new management" for their hard work and diligence

The network and software is quite stable now, thank you for your kind words! You can also check out the new UI for the wallet if you like. https://github.com/burst-apps-team/phoenix/releases/You can use a local or remote node. For remote nodes, passphrase is kept on your own machine. Transactions are signed locally and then sent.

I've actually paid a bit attention to BURST since its inception, and recently, I was indeed surprised how good some very knowledgeable people in various other crypto projects talk positively about BURST, it's PoC Consensus, and if theirs can possibly consider the mechanism for inclusion/substitution of whatever they have≥ PoW's with mining issues for small folks. BURST has most of its Volume on Bittrex nowadays, with the past days of steep FUD and downselling, it's not hard to figure that the price will rebound a lot, and far from being non-working or dead tech it's one of the most unique & actually usable crypto projects. So, just keep an eye on it & don't be overly greedy. Do it like Warren Buffet if you must … and buy when everyone else is selling… ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)
