There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I think there will be some way to do it after as well.
Burning all remaining tokens after 14 days would be pretty harsh, especially since its delayed.

No at least in most cases they dont have our email addresses. There might have been some talk about using email addresses before the ICO.

If you subscribed to the newsletter they will of course have you email.

the lack of comms and visibility into roadmap/schedule is rather unprofessional.

YES I UNDERSTAND RESOURCES ARE LIMITED AND THEY ARE BUSY.

However cutting yourself off from your community and "going dark" is not good. It is after all their decision to not take any supporting team members on and/or invest in recruiting extra headcount to deliver this.

The Heat Ledger Ltd teambuilding is constantly progressing with the assistance of our external advisor crew. However while also having to arrange all the legal sides of the shares + options that are coming soon, we're still putting most of our energy to the tech of getting the redemption going and livenet out. Not yet having found a nominated marketing director this may reflect to some blackoutish moments within the community. Meanwhile following both this thread and the heatledger.net forum  may be beneficial, I'm happy to see the logo contest is in full steam over there.

Not so sure about the tagline either. Either say Scalability Matters (drop the "Because" as it doesn't read well) or use the "3rd Generation" motto.
