So if I was to Donate (destroy) 22k XAUR, commonwealth would increase by ~10g of gold?
true that. Just above your post, I explained why this is actually not true . I would be grateful if you could explain a bit why you think the commonwealth would increase after XAURs are destroyed. Also, can you please point out what is incorrect in my explanation? Thx. who pointed what's incorrect in your post?? not me. you are also right, but @pythonium was askin about burning (donation) not melting. every xaurum in circulation has more gold if someone burn or donate. so from the other point of wiew commonwealth increases I have more gold behind my xaurums.

If you say that it is true just after I said it wasn't, then one answer has to be incorrect . Anyway, we are saying the same thing, yes gold behind your XAURs will increase when XAURs are burned, but commonwealth (the total gold supply backing the total Xaurum supply) won't change.

I think that it might be a big problem in the future, that most of the exchanges operate on BTC-altercurr. pairings..
If you have a denomination like that, all currencies that aren't bitcoin automatically lose in value when BTC sell-off ocurres - my point being that money is being siphoned from the cryptoeconomy.
If you ask me, that caused the Xaur price fluctuation these days...
Yep, Ill just quote myself here in response to the link.. 2nd - regarding my question - thnx for explaining that, however I have to ask: Isnt the commonwealth actually just gold reserve backing the whole thing? I cannot see any other meaning of the word commonwealth - also, if you melt - shouldn't the commonwealth also increase, providing the profits go into buying more goldbars?

When you melt you receive the gold you own in your hands. There is no profit or any margin anywhere. Just a change of location. Melted XAUR are destroyed and commonwealth gold is decreased for the quantity of gold you melt.

My Xaurum wallet is not synchronising and number of connection is zero. Is the project dead? I am interested to buy a few coins http://imgur.com/a/1mQ4BAs i know when XAU rebirth to XAUR, XAUR didn't have new wallet and i see the image that a old wallet when the name XAU, XAUR now is based on Ethereum blockchain so you just need Ethereum wallet, i use myetherwallet.com to receive and sent XAUR. You just need to custome token on ETH wallet to see your XAUR.

I am interested to buy a few coins http://imgur.com/a/1mQ4BAs barnes13 said, you have the old wallet for the old Xaurum (XAU), in the mean time we have migrated to Ethereum, where the new Xaurum (XAUR) can be transacted. Here is the tutorial on how to add XAUR on the Ethereum wallet: http://xaurum.org/tutorial.html.

I sold my 7,000 xaurum last week at around 10.2 cents each... I'll buy them back when they drop to 7.4 cents each.
Hmm, when poloniex agrees to list xaurum there will be a price jump as investors race to get in before all the day traders of poloniex do.
But right now, there's a ceiling of 11.6 cents that xaur cannot break through.

The celling is not big at all. It takes just 180k USD mint to eat it all. Current market price is really low.

Yeah right, someone dumps xaur at 8k+ in c-cex but maybe this is due to the rising bitcoin price. They convert their xaur coins to bitcoin for encashment. I think it is a good opportunity to buy now because of lower price.

Whatever u donate to those ranting bitches will be shuffled between their pockets, and as such u will never see ur money back. Its delusional to think that if u remove X quantity of tokens from circulation that would affect network reserves of gold per holder, coz in fact, xau isnt backed by real gold, its puff of smoke, u know what that means. Smoke and mirrors everywhere.
