I am not sure this is a good idea. Altcoins are a great opportunity for these times, but I have no doubt that in 20 years there will be better opportunities and these current altcoins will be considered as outdated stuff. So we should take advantage of the current boom in cryptos to make money and inherit that capital to our children.

yes. I would definitely love to save bitcoins for my grand children. because bitcoin is a trusted currency right now. and it have a good potential to grow up in future. I may save 1 million$ of bitcoin today for my children and when my children come to the world the 1 million$ may become 1 billion$. this is not a joke. bitcoin can make it possible

This is a good preparation to our grandchild to be or children to be also, because bitcoin iis big tools into that kind of a savings to our love ones. And bitcoin has a big future actually, that's the reason behind all of this why we keep our bitcoin in our wallet address.
to me in present time it is not so easy to safe money for your grandchildren, in present time i think one can only live from hand to mouth, if a person can pass a standard life he is said to be a luck person, because every thing has become so expenses that they are getting out of the reach of middle class people.

i think yes bitcoin can give you such a good income that you can even safe it for your grandsons. as most of the people are saving and making money for their children, but bitcoin can give you a chance to make money for your grandchildren.

I think this will be a good idea if bitcoin continues increasing its price. Otherwise, this will be a not so good idea. A bitcoin wallet that is passed on generation by generation because the ancestor (you) have predicted that bitcoin will be a lot valuable than what it was so you saved a lot of them for the wealth of your future grand grand grand relatives. If you leave a bank account instead, in the future generation, it will be still the same amount. Leaving Bitcoin instead will make your future kids rich.

No, i don't. Because bitcoin is instrument of investments and bitcoin has high fluctuating of price and risk, everything can be happening to bitcoin (include there is not valuable in bitcoin), so if there is profit will sell it and taking the profit.

Bitcoin is a long term project. Therefore it makes sense to save small parts over a long horizon. Do you save Bitcoins for your (grand) child or children?

For those who do not have (grand) children (yet), would you save Bitcoin for them if you would have (grand) children?

actually I just earn a little bit bitcoin, and I often convert it to fiat because of the need of daily activity.

I just trust my wallet private key to a person, and I think he would give my bitcoin to my family if something happens to me.

Haha, it makes sense, at that time, everything will be very expensive due to inflation, maybe bitcoin will be 10k usd, who knows.

I am also planning to save the bitcoins for future. I have just started earning bitcoins from signature campaign. The price has gone down. It will be a good idea to save now for future profit. The price may increase end of this year. It is better to earn more bitcoins and as much as we can and gain profits once the price increases.

I did lose bitcoin at one point earlier this year because I thought it would be safe to sell small amounts on Ebay. I was very wrong. Things went smoothly for a couple of months, but after about 2 months I started getting chargebacks from all the customers I was chatting with. I ended up breaking even because of the legit sales I made, but I would not recommend anyone try that method.

Keep prices down while bitcoin is the way that it is very good to do. because it will give you an advantage on us 2 x folding than usual and no doubt it will make us increasingly happy, and also our lives will surely be helped by it. keep the spirit and always the focus

Maybe we should think about the children or grandchildren but what are the best methods to save bitcoin for a long term, if we make a paper wallet it can be maybe destroyed after some years if we don't protect it very secure.

I would save a nice house with a garden near the sea rather than bitcoins. Or gold. I can't know what is going to happen to bitcoin in the future i but am %100 sure that the others will survive. (home can get destroyed with a missile though, that's why you shouldn't buy it from a 3rd world country)

If you're aiming to save your Bitcoin for your children and/or grandchildren I would recommend spreading out and copying the information of any paper and digital wallets that you might use, so that the data is always recoverable and usable. I would also recommend spreading out the investment over multiple forms of storage, e.i. some in digital and paper, and then multiple copies of the data should be made and checked semi-regularly.

I agree with this safe keeping  method.  They should be well secure because it might be small in the beginning but the moment it gain lots of small saving overtime, it will be indeed a huge amount that may support your grand kids of their daily life.  Who knows, bitcoin maybe 100x higher of what it is now.

This is actually the best thought I have ever seen on this forum...
One of the best gifts to be given by you to your child or grand children will be bitcoins, as bitcoins have future and if it will still exist, then I think it will prove to be the best investment of you for your upcoming ones...
