Save you Bitcoin for your (grand) child / children?

i never save my bitcoins for my children because it is just a dumb idea all in all

Why are you saying like that? There is no such things or ideas, especially things about bitcoin, called dumb ideas, unless those ideas are ridiculously impossible and unreasonable. However, this idea isn’t something crazy, it’s maybe the greatest idea I’ve ever heard in this forum and I think it would be the most meaningful gift for our children.

I agree with you its not a dumb idea at all in fact is quite good to have this motivation or goal to save up some  of our bitcoin for our grandchildrens. To those people  who dont like with this idea maybe  hes to greedy enough that he would really only like to spend his  bitcoins for himself and dont mind  others to benefit it.

Yes as our parents saved money for us for our education, we should save bitcoins for our children and grand children so that it can take good care of their studies and we can also teach them how to earn them.

Where I'm at you can't find a savings account that pays more than 1% interest. That might buy your descendants a double cheeseburger. Far more fun to take a wild bet on the future and see where it ends up.

Better is to split the savings. One half in a fiat savings account and one half in Bitcoins. The inflation rate eats your savings on the bank account because interest rate is very low. Bitcoin however promises good value development when everything works smooth in the future.

since i believe in bitcoin i say even keeping a very small amount NOW is going to be more than enough for the future generation. for example you can even keep 0.1-0.5 for them and if the price rises as we think it would, then that would be enough money by that time.

Yeah if price goes higher then it will help our children in their personal life as they can expect good and comfortable life so saving for them is a good idea I guess.

That is right. Savings account or any kind or bank deposits won't bring you any significant profits. Normally you will receive your money back, because interest rates at best will cover rising inflation.
With bitcoin, however, you can take a gamble (I think it is rather 'safe gamble', because I doubt BTC will ever go 'bankrupt') that your BTC will be worth much more in the future.

Well what I am trying to do is that I am going to keep on collecting bitcoins and once I had enough already maybe 10 bitcoins with my entire life.

I am going to allocate the 2 bitcoins for future purposes I will just going to put it to my cold storage and I am going to do nothing with it.

And maybe saving that for my future grand sons and daughters is also possible.

Why would I save it for them ? Since when you're talented you make your capital grow, keeping it in reserve is getting money out of your hands and destroying potential earnings that could go toward them.

It is a good idea really. But not to the point that you are feeding all to your grandchildren all of your bitcoin savings. You can use your saved bitcoins for their education, insurance, and other investment that will make their life easier but not to the point that they will not work hard in life. You should just do these for ease and not as a way to spoon feed to them.

I am against the idea of storing BTCs for children/grandchildren. Technology is rapidly evolving, and in 5 to 10 years time, a better concept is going to replace the Bitcoins. Remember the floppy discs? When they were first marketed in the 1970s, people went crazy after them. Gradually, they were replaced with better technology (USB sticks, CD ROMs.etc). The same will happen to BTC as well.

Yes there is no assurance that bitcoin will still existing at that time. id rather save for my kids to secure that they will going to have a better future and endorse to them the good side of btc. then my children would be the one to decide if they will going to save btc for their kids.

If I can maker enough money with Bitcoin to also provide for them then I will do that but right now I am first in line. I am making use of Bitcoin because I can really use the money.

well. everyone have different point of view... the reality is both are safe if you are smart enough.
and if you are not a smart person then both are unsafe.. advantage of using bitcoin is you can control them your self. and for long term saving it is better than saving in bank. because bitcoin price increase with the time.

Yes saving bitcoin for future is good in compare to saving them in banks where banks will earn profits on your money and will pay you interest in peanuts so its better to save money in bitcoins as it will grow over a period of time.
