Name's Michael. I believe that my main business in relation to Bitcoins may be that of someone who may simply be watching and thinking about whether or not it may be worth messing about with. I believe I may be upgrading my rig later on for the sake of gaming, so I thought that I might as well try out some mining the moment the upgrades may have been installed. At this point of time, I suppose it's simply patience that may matter, unless that I might decide to back off for one reason or another.

I've been a developer for a little over 10 years now and have been fascinated by bitcoin, since it's inception. I'm currently planning on building/selling ASIC miners built with ASIC chips from Avalon.

Yes I ordered an ASIC as well but the smallest one.  I will consider the 30/60 model when there is availability and only if I have BTC to cover it.

tbh, I didn't read all the comments here :p As you can see on the left, I'm called UnderGod. Been lurking on this forum for quite a while now, but just when you're in need of posting something (and then registering) you're finding out about the newbie rule :p

Wassgoodie Bitcoiners!!! M.O. from sunny southern California here. I'd like to start off by saying that Bitcoin is an AMAZING idea! Also, a big shout out to the developers, community and following of Bitcoin. I cant wait to start mining so i can donate.  Id also like to thank CNN for bashing Bitcoin this morning making me EVEN MORE INTERESTED than i was when my eyes left my laptop screen and stayed fixed on the TV set when I heard the words "virtual currency".  Sounds like the future to me folks. I'll be bringing this topic up on my podcast radio show to hear what my listeners how to say about Bitcoin. Or as i call it "2013's Answer to the US Deficit"    I know that's one hell of a teaser but it will get the people talking. And since most of my listeners are the average "open minded" person, like the people here from what I've read so far, we should get some great opinions and questions I'll try to answer to the best of my ability and relay any question i feel uncomfortable answering here. Im not a big fan a misinformation... So I'm gonna read up more, and talk to some community members so i can pass along the Bitcoin phenomenon. ***So while i was typing this, the Bitcoin story played again on CNN. So, they really didn't really bash Bitcoin, only emphasize the BETAness and say "There is a reason why they made banks". The info CNN reported could be taken in many different ways IMO. I cant wait to hear what my listeners have to say.

Been mining with 8x HD 5830s at 900MHz and a pair of watercooled 5970s at 950MHz. Shopping around for more cards and this seems to be the clearing house.

I would love to see the difficulty go back to end of May 2011 levels (567269). At least then I wouldn't be forced into a pool. At that difficulty, I was finding one block per week.

Greeting all, I'm Chris, got interested in bitcoin back in the 30$ haydays.  Started hashing with a 4870, now upgraded to ~1.2 ghash total. Currently working on a modular spartan-6 design (pcb and fpga design in the past) with pluggable cards.  Hoping to have a standalone solution that will fit in a mini-itx form factors. Looking forward to chatting and developing more! Chris
