I have some trouble with the implementation, porting back some of the SegWit functions in to the older coinbase.
Sometimes I wish I could just start over, learned so much within the past couple of weeks.
Would have done things very differently.
Things would go much faster if I'd be working on a more modern coinbase.

J.V.

Maybe that's the way to go: correct me if I'm wrong but Veltor now is just bitcoin with different pow algo and some tuning.

Would the integration of segwit still be possible with the current chain? Or are you just saying that things will be taking a bit longer than expected?

I have an important question for you all!

Would you guys support a coinswap?
Basically, I made mistakes, I get to feel these mistakes now and would jump past them by switching to a completely new codebase.
Ready for segwit to be implemented and move to LN.
This would cut development by many many weeks/months and we'd get to our goal very faster.

If you oppose a coinswap, please don't just say "No" but explain with arguments why you think its bad.

I followed a couple coin swaps in the past and I think they are OK. It must be taken into account that they require a lot of support for the users. Novaexchange can host the swap.

Any serious investor who doesn't speak english fluently should probably change his job.

Nobody needs your translations, if you want some coins, buy them or mine some.

To me coinswap is the best choice, the benefits of the newer coinbase hugely outweigh the benefits of keeping with the "old" chain to me, coinswap seems like the obvious choice to benefit the project.

I really want to see faster pace so i strongly suggest immediate coinswap.

I hope this coin get the same momentum as zcoin.

and what i suggest more is why don't we do a 1:100 swap to dilute it.

that make the coin more attractive.

I am always ready for improvement and implementation of what you think is best.
So I am in for a coinswap too.

In this case ppl should be widely informed about that. To have time to prepare. I'm ok with it.

I think keeping the supply the same is the best idea, i fail to see how diluting a coin will increase the demand for it?

Weekly Sunday update:

A coinswap IS going to happen.
I have already started setting up the new codebase.
It is going to have the same attributes as the current one, meaning same mining reward, same block size, same block time, same algo...
How exactly the swap will happen I'll reveal in the coming weeks.
From there on, the path to SegWit and Lightning Network is a straight forward one.

Stay tuned!
