Bitcoin has competition from other cryptocurrencies but not competitive enough because during it's time period from the introduction and launching to today the progress it has gained is much bigger so It is still early to tell whether Bitcoin has no competition because other cryptocurrencies are still in early stages and they have just started expanding around the world

There are innumerable altcoins, hundreds or even thousands of altcoins. if no one is able to pair with bitcoin, then is bitcoin as good as it is? But at least Ethereum deserves consideration to sit parallel to bitcoin.

All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.

Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine).
There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Do not let the FUDsters trick your mind or the trolls try to derrail the excellent job being done by Core devs.

Let's continue then our path towards inevitable triumph.

I agree with what you are saying, every time there is a new coin on the market people say it'll destroy bitcoin, bitcoin is old etc etc, but at the end it's always the safest and the best.

It amazes me how bitcoin is able to stand firm for 10 years and not be overcome to buy any cryptocurrency that were developed after him, yet we're having many project who claims to be a competitor to Bitcoin.

if we compare only in terms of value, then I agree, if we talk as a platform, then I think that there are much more innovative projects to which bitcoin will give way, but bitcoin is the founder of all the crypto currency.

BTC is the king but remember someones always wanting the kings throne unfortunately btc day will come to an end but not for a while yet.

Well, a lot of people said that even popular developers but nothing succeeded. I think Bitcoin will be staying on the top until the end of the time since Bitcoin is the first and the most popular of them all. It is been 10 years since Bitcoin is used but nothing can surpass it in terms of it's value. In terms of it's efficiency, to be honest there are a lot of other crypto currencies that is better but not as overvalued as Bitcoin.

There are many cryptocurrencies out there like bitcoin but I don't think that you can call it competition cause it's obviously clear that bitcoin is standing out among them. And many altcoins depends/based in bitcoin that's why bitcoin is like the Father among them  Grin

Bitcoin is not perfect. With its traditional 7 transactions a second - it cannot be used for fast-moving financial spaces - e.g. where the NY stock exchange has 1.4 bn trades per day.

For now I can say yes that bitcoin doesn't have a competitor yet. So many dev already try to create a better cryptocurrency and yes the success.but still bitcoin is the leader in the market. All altcoin still following bitcoin price, also with the trader.

There is no competition for it. Mostly because it is first coin. And it is most popular because of it. But there will be competition for it, I am sure. Even some token with good real life use could become competition.

OHH SUREEE!!! Bitcoin is the altimate of all the cryptocurrencies. I do not believe that any altcoin can compete and overtake bitcoin in the crypto market.  BiTCOIN is the pioneer and the best of ll the other coins.
