Hi All,

I am having trouble doing an initial sync of the wallet.

I seem to have only 1 active connection to the B3-Coin network.

I am running B3-Coin version v2.0.0.2-B3 of the wallet.

What is the best way to get the sync started?
Should I create a .conf file with all the nodes in and place it in %appdata% ?  If so, what should the filename be?

TIA.

how do you combine your inputs in wallet? couldnt find the option to, so i just sent everything to myself. hope that worked. staked two inputs of 1k for 4 days and nothing. now combined to 2000
That might be the best solution

It isn't really worth to lose coin age if you have such high inputs, any inputs that are higher than 50 coins are fine for staking, once you go below 20-30 it gets really hard to stake.

Can you be more precise? You say 50 coins is "fine" meaning how often will they stake? Below 20-30, can you clarify what you mean by really hard to stake?

It is a pain in the ass but.....if you add all the nodes individually in the console window you will be fine. I tried many variations on what the .conf file name should be and got no where. A good list of nodes is here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/b3/#!network.

Open you wallet, click on help then debug window then console. Then in the bottom text box add each node using "addnode %ipaddress% add" one by one still you start getting connections. Once you have over 5 connections you should be good and it will find more peers on it's own.

If there was a way I would just post my peers.dat file here but I don't see a way of doing that.

I had to try several different times but I was able to get 16 connections to the network as soon as I named the file  b3coin.conf  .  The only things in my conf file is the node list from https://chainz.cryptoid.info/b3/#!network

Just to confirm, you must put the % signs around the IP address?

Can you be more precise? You say 50 coins is "fine" meaning how often will they stake? Below 20-30, can you clarify what you mean by really hard to stake?

So I have inputs of 14-20 with 5000-10000 confirmations, meaning 20-40days without staking, when I get to the 40-50 input sizes, I see mostly between 100 and 4000 (so less than 17 days or about), above 60 input size, most coins are below 1000 with the unluckiest being still under 2000 (so from 4 to 8 days). I have inputs of 160 with 2k confirmations so it doesn't really matter how big it is after input size of 100.
Before the big reward increase, the staking was much easier, I got stakes almost every hour, at least 20 stakes in a day but then all of you started staking and it went down to like 5-10 stakes a day (even tho my balance did triple) so you can think of staking being "harder" by 6-12x than it was before but the reward increased 10x so basically nothing changed

That's not how you do it Cheesy on windows you go to %appdata/b3coin-V2 and add the nodes to b3coin.conf or in linux you go to $home/.B3-CoinV2 and do the same thing with b3coin.conf.

this should be inside that file

Thank you for the stake size information.

Yes my way was not "the way" to do it but I tried using the b3coin.conf filename and it didn't work for me so I offered an additional method in case others had issues like I did. No need to label someone's efforts to help as "that is not the way to do it" when in reality there is more than one way.

B3COIN is a pure POS COIN. There is no POW mining.

This coin has a GOOD, RELIABLE DEV, but he is always very busy, so you may not see him talking much on this thread, unless there are important issues to address. Right now, B3COIN has flawless performance  Wink
