That is not capitalism, it is fascism or socialism or, as someone said above, crony capitalism:
Capitalism is a social system based on the principle of individual rights. Politically, it is the system of laissez-faire (freedom). Legally it is a system of objective laws (rule of law as opposed to rule of man). Economically, when such freedom is applied to the sphere of production its’ result is the free-market.

I heard true capitalism died in December 1913 in the US Undecided
Now, european planned economy is more close to fascism.

To the extent that it ever existed in the US, it was only during the time when there was still a frontier available for individuals to escape to beyond the reach of government. Once the frontiers were settled there was no escape and everything began to go downhill.

It was mentioned earlier in the thread. From what I remember, he had to downsize a lot, sold a lot of Bitcoins to recoup losses and moved his business away to try pick up the pieces and try start again. He had a huge stage of Bitcoins; The operative word is had I'd imagine.

I can not imagine having to start again after losing that much, sad thing is for most small/medium business' that would of been the end of them. Having access to cash out his Bitcoins was all that could save the business.

I agree.  It has been going away for a long, long time to the extent it was in the US.  Of course Hong Kong was doing okay for about 99 years and now there is fear there too.

Nice wartime caricatures! They still not work. We don't thing about germans as stupid subhumans, or englishman and polish as runaway midgets. But majority of people still think about niggers as a stupid monkey-like creatures. There is some truth in that for such stereotype to be so persistent.

The multiculturalists will never admit that not all races are equal and will invent new bullshit to explain it how they need it. Multiculturalists want to mix all races and nations to turn everyone in sheeple and consumer society that can be easily manipulated and enslaved.

What do you think about EU program: Europe4All?

It must be fought with any means necessary. In reality I think only one action could put end to this. EU is evil, it's sole purpose is to destroy national states and ethnicities and mix them to something similar to USA.

Competition between States (Countries) and entities at every level is important.  Freedom thrives where their is competition, freedom loses when there is a huge government imposing the will of power-hungry politicians on others.

If you'd read even some of the thread you'd have seen that there was no reason to do so.

If this post was useful, interesting or entertaining, then you've misunderstood.

Information about London branches was leaked only to a limited number of "very special" people, i.e. oligarchs and relatives of high position politicians, who had millions or billions on their accounts.
When this trick was revealed to the public, the door was closed. If I had my private jet, I would have had a chance to get money in London on that day.

Well I for one am glad that something like this can never happen over here in the Netherlands. Roll Eyes

Except in February finance minister Dijsselbloem (the same guy who you thank in your first post) seized the bonds and stocks of the SNS Reaal bank. Not exactly the same thing of course.

Still all my friends and family think I'm crazy for thinking that more banks could falter (even though all the big Dutch banks except the Rabobank have been bailed out by the government since 2008). THEIR bank is safe as houses. They trust in it implicitly.

And they laugh about my silly Bitcoin idea. Roll Eyes

Not sure you can say this is a 'socialist' policy.

It's definitely a capitalist policy where the people who currently have the most capital are making the rules.

Also, if you want to call it a socialist policy, it would seem capitalists are happy with capitalism until they're made to pay for their mistakes, then it's socialism all the way...
This totally nails the point.

Singapore and Hong Kong are the closest examples to a true capitalist economy. No surprise that they do well all the time.
