does anyone think banks run their terminals on windows?! lol

No, but the vast majority of their users do.

False.

Android, Iphones phones = linux

Any touchpad = linux

Apple Ios = linux

Chromebook = linux

Kindle = linux

Most of you already use linux and don't even know.

Running financial software on windows is madness. Stop the madness. Think of the children.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Not false at all.  I'm currently doing some work for a large global bank that has over 100,000 Windows desktops and tens of thousands of Windows servers.

They also have large numbers of Linux servers, but the Windows estate is non-trivial and runs many mission critical systems.

Nice updates guys, I'm feeling good about this project again. I was initially surprised that the Monaize news was all that was going to be revealed and the 'big' news was actually something that had already leaked, but was shockingly presented riddled with audio issues and seemingly from someones shed/garage? You've pulled it together well and the future looks bright again, good work. Just don't ruin it with another amateur announcement.

You can not kill a good idea with "amateur announcement"
people need to stop taking things so seriously
this project does more than most of the projects
and we need to say thanks for that
instead of seeking what to judge :|

Zk-Snarks remains the single technology most like hard money: non-inflationary, fungible, private - and it far outpaces the field in minimizing counterparty risks, conflicts of interest, and agency problems, such as we see in the governance of ETH, and even, now, in BTC itself.  While punters will always chase the speculative momentum of the day wherever it is found, the smart money, the slow money, the big money is much more concerned about risk management than speculation.  Btw Komodo provides a unique value proposition in this area:  Money which cannot be seen, cannot be stolen and huge asset market creation.
Yes.. there is still a lot of hard technical, social, and business enterprise work which needs to be done in order to realize those potentials.  My advice: Buy in kmd whenever you have pricing power.  Mine kmd, even when it is temporarily unprofitable, and do not sell.  Your reward will be huge, true investments takes some time. That's why its called long-term.

The next demand shock should come by q4, and this time they may heat up a lot faster than before: There is a lot of fiat swishing around out there.
Each of the big leaps in Komodo has been due to some wealthy individual deciding to hedge systemic tail risks by investing a small part of their wealth in kmd.  The number of persons seeking such a hedge will increase substantially when the indexing bull runs out of steam and the bond bubble begins to deflate.

Don't forget the Monaize ICO that should boost demand for KMD as well because of the 20% bonus when signing in on the ICO with KMD.

words of wisdom Smiley
we need to remember that komodo technology is something that evolving for years as a solution for many things that missing right now in the cryptocurrency world.
i think that we are lucky to see how great this technology is, before the world see that and before its out Smiley
Yes, its not out yet, but if they are going to make the dICO soon, i am sure that everything is ready for that.
Your advice is the best thing to do.
and i would add some words to it: stop day trading, maybe you will get some money for that or more KMD but someday it just wont come back down.
i am really working on spreading the word about KMD everywhere i can, and would like to see more people do that Smiley

It seams like DECRED also made the revolutionary atomic swap for the first time in history https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jw5icKcmdbA&feature=youtu.be

So who was first? And which one is more revolutionary? Smiley

The price had already exploded before it corrected again. In advance to the awaited presentation. Alone that the price rose from under $ 1 to almost $ 4 within a short time, shows the potential of the project. In addition, of course, the great cooperation with the English online bank. I also think that the current price is a good entry price. James and his team work without much attention and deliver regularly. I have been buying small quantities for some time and hold them. In addition, the% 5 interest rate is also unique in the crypto world, which alone should justify an investment.

I’m buying more KMD,very cheap yet.Price will explode soon or later, only wait the moment Kiss
When will the interest claim will be available for the Ledger Nano S? That would be really nice, does somebody has an update?

We hope to have it ready as soon as possible but it is difficult to find a developer who can help. We're actively looking and once one has been found it should take ~2 weeks.

This is great news... i also waiting my my Ledger Nano S to arrived soon Smiley
I thinks Ladger Nano S is a great wallet for a long term holder, because i don't trust my computer or my mobile wallet due to it easy to get hacked.

I thinks it also a good idea for Komodo Team to start doing advertising looking for a good experienced developers to work for you.
This forum alone have over 1 million accounts, and putting Ads on coinmarketcap.com also be great  Cool

Hope we get many experienced developers to join Komodo, to help speed up our projects & our developments  Grin

which do you consider more revolutionary?
ordinary atomic swap which we did over a year ago, or one where the coin blockchains are not on the local node and electrum servers were used?
