Nice to know that you consider the situation in Bittrex. I plan to buy more kmd and bittrex is the only exchange I use to acquire it. I need to wait though for bittrex to stabilize in 2 days.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Does the unity holders get any JUMBLR? Great to know the JUMBLR snapshot is around the corner.

Agama is working once installed properly. Soon the final installers will be ready and it will become much easier to use. The command line has always been the best way to interact with Komodod. So you have Agama and the non-gui client you can use. I'm available 8-5 PM eastern time for live troubleshooting if you have problems.

We have a paper wallet generator and I made a video on how to use it. You can find them at YouTube at the SuperNET channel.

I think I have Agama installed just fine on linux. It works when I used the cut/paste method of seed entry, no problem to see the same addresses that were imported. However, from a list of addresses, Agama refuses to output a list of private keys. So I am wondering if you consider this to be working properly? In my opinion the wallet should output a private key for each address that has been imported and/or generated.

This is one of the glitchiest aspects of Agama and (in my opinion) one of importance, access to the private keys.

Just to be clear, in the settings under export keys this text is shown:
--
Export Keys
Only the active coin wallet wif keys will be shown here.
If you don't see a wif key for the coin you are looking for please active it by adding it from EasyDEX Dashboard.
You can use these wif keys to import to another coin wallets.
--

I put the same cut/paste agama seed into the field. It then shows me the key to the first address in the bank only. Not "keys", just one. I have got some weird seemingly random output from this section also, presumably private keys from addresses in the bank that have no balance yet. Depending on what is put into the field as a seed, it shows all sorts of different privkeys ! I basically got lucky when I was able to retrieve the pk from the generated change address and get my 900 kmd back by loading the privkey into komodod wallet.

However, I don't have any way to repeat that.. This section is at best, very unclear because it says it will output the keyS from the 'active wallet' .. So I am reluctant to send a transfer to myself to claim any balance as the change will appear on a new address that I cannot obtain a key for.

I am simply seeking a solution and nobody has come close to provided it, basically I am being told that it's my error? I am not sure why.  until this gets solved I am unable to send payments with Agama.. It's no biggie as the interest can accumulate for a while..

I am mentioning this so it is not written off as "my mistake" and acknowledged as an actual issue that is to be fixed. If it is fixed in the latest version of the wallet which I have not yet installed then I would retract my statement.

Can *anybody* output a list of private keys from *all* of their addresses present in Agama?

-- just read that in native mode agama stores to wallet.dat, in which case will be no problem to find the privkeys. seems like a fair workaround for the time being.

Agama is a deterministic wallet, meaning 1 seed = 1 address as well as it will generate unique keys depending on what is entered in the seed field.   In basilisk mode which it seems like you were using initially it will just use that one address.  Native mode behaves more like other bitcoin-like clients, as you have found out with the wallet.dat file and importing privkeys .

thanks for the response. it has helped to clarify usage. yes i was initially using it in basilisk mode. seemed to work fine but the "change address" that was generated it what cause confusion as most of the balance was put there. i was able to get the privkey though and nothing gone. so maybe the wording is  bit confusing (for me) I am sure it will shape up.nice though. all in all i am becoming more accustomed.

Due to the unfortunate timing of the bittrex wallet offline and I know there are those that procrastinate until the last days, I think it will be best to delay the JUMBLR snapshot until block 472000

So, the JUMBLR snapshot is changed from 464000 to 472000. A hotfix version is updated to deal with the bittrex wallet issue, but it will probably be a day or two before it comes back online.

Block 472000 will be early next week, probably Tuesday.

No JUMBLR for greedy Bittrex. They take an absurdly high 0.25% in commission in every trade for both buyer and seller. Because all trades are handled automatically by computers it should be a much lower percentage or a fixed absolute value with no percentage for every trade. With a volume in 24h of 12000 BTC for Bitcoin cash they take 12000*0.0025*2=60 BTC or 60*4200=252000 dollars.

Can't resist the low price atm, I bought a chunk of KMD at bittrex. Now I will just have to wait for the fix to be uploaded within 2 days to withdraw my KMD .

The KMD has to be in a wallet you control, that is, a local wallet like Agama...

You can support KMD in this poll if you believe it will increase a lot (more) in 2017:

Have been in support of the coin since but i dont know what to believe with the coin the unexpected drop till 30000 sat from 100000 sat. Now it is not reponding to any news and it is on bittrex and cryptopia. Any addition to any other exchange may not reflect change in the soonest time.

the american story of 'the tortoise and the hare' comes to mind, with regard to the complainers. sort of like someone blowing their wad too quickly, a rapidly appreciating coin based on no true utility will ultimately have little value compared to the long term solutions presented by innovation and solid development.

some short time ago the bitcoin was worth a mere $400. sure did spend a few of those in my day, along with the $5 bitcoin. (when i started into all of this). sure did need the money enough to spend all of the btc that I had.. now look at today, do I look with regret? $4k plus and rising.. naw, no regret just optimism for the newer and the better. so far the kmd went up 30% since I started holding them, in not much time. sure when they go up 10x-100x I will be very happy, meanwhile I will bide my time in happiness that i don't have the spend the kmd this time, and I can hold them until they do what bitcoin did. for those that says that is impossible I would laugh and reply that anything is possible.

what is relevant is the long term vision not the short term wad blowing so people can make some easy money..

my only gripe with kmd although it is a point of recognition, is at the same time a dependency, on the bitcoin network. personally I don't see bitcoin making it through the long haul (yes you can hate me for the statement thats fine). thoughts there is that meanwhile, and somehow the kmd network is gaining independence from bitcoin as kmd evolves. i know this is not indicated in the published plans but perhaps somebody of intellect can factor in the potential that the bitcoin network may not be here forever. and during this time steps towards komodo fortification can manifest. in this way (hopefully it is my prayer!) kmd can exists, *someday* independently of bitcoin? and if you told me this was true then I would say we have a real winner. the other coins that show promise of actual implementation can be there also, but not the same faults repeated over and over.
KMD notarizations can be changed to use something other than BTC, in the event that makes sense to do.

But does it rely of the existence of another Blockchain?
And in case KMD is the leading Blockchain (like BTC now) can it also run without any other Blockchain?

New notary candidates:

As you know, each notary node mines about 2000 KMD per month and it is expected there will be a lot of new candidates for the next election cycle.

For those that think it is a matter of a few hours to get setup and running a notary node, this is not realistic. If you are seriously considering running in the next elections, I strongly suggest that you start a test node sooner, rather than later.

For this next cycle, the incumbents will have a very big advantage over newcomers in that they already have nodes that are working. By getting a test node up and running, you can equalize in that area.

By participating in the community, you wont be a stranger when it comes to election time

I thinks this time around i will votes for Komodo Devs for notary nodes, so this will motivate them to work harder and be loyal to Komodo.  Wink

Because in the last election, i was voting for those who promised to do promotions for Komodo, but so far i don't see any promotions work from them.
Maybe i am wrong, so you should lists some of your promotions work if you want us to vote for you again.
