If anyone is interested in mining KMD with GPU, I have setup a guide!

There are 3 necessary components:

1. Komodod

2. KMD-Nomp

3. Zcash GPU miner of your choosing


Once you have setup Komodod and KMD-Nomp, you can run your GPU miner just as you would with Zcash, but pointing it to your 127.0.0.1:7777 setup by KMD-Nomp instead.

This means you must be using a Linux miner, as Komodod and KMD-Nomp run on linux. If you wanted to install KMD-Nomp and Komodod on a linux machine on your network, you could use a windows GPU miner on another machine and point it to 192.168.1.xxx(linux machine with KMD-nope ip).

KMD-Nomp is mining pool software that interfaces with Komodod. In this case we will be pointing our miners to it locally, but with this software anyone can setup their own Komodo Mining Pool.

Supernet is moving forward as before and the asset will receive the revenues as planned. Nothing has changed for investors. KomodPlatform is saying that in origin there were some third-party coins that were in partnership with SN (so they were called "core coins") but they're no longer part of it.

Yea thanks for re-writing of his post but no, that's not what he said. he said supernet not part of the core concept moving forward.

With the vast majority already distributed, after today, then next batch will likely be Friday. Please do not complain if you missed the first batch, the second batch, the third batch and the fourth batch.

I cannot distribute without a payout address, that is why this is needed.

However, if you are waiting for an exchange listing (who isnt!), you can just wait until they have started accepting deposits. Soon after that is when I will do a special batch payout. So, that means you can wait for an exchange to accept deposits, generate such a deposit address, put that in the ICO payout address.

Then when I process the batch, it arrives into your exchange deposit address.

Please do not ask me when (or which) exchange will list KMD. Contrary to popular belief, even if I sent a demand for listing to an exchange, they can just ignore it. The best way to get listed is for you to make a request to the exchange through normal channels, post questions in their troll box, support, listing request form, etc. The more demand an exchange sees for a coin, the more likely they are to list it.

there are several possibilities.

1. you can do unix command line -> just build komodod and use it like any command line coin daemon

2. use iguana to access funds

3. withdraw directly to exchange deposit address

the coins are paid out and this goes into the blockchain. The wallet is just one way to access them. komodod is another way. using an exchange is yet another way

The payout simple converts the KMD credits you have on the ICO site into utxo on the blockchain. And you will be the only one who can access them via the passphrase you have kept very safe.

KMD has zero-footprint 5% APR. that means it takes no extra blockchain space and no extra resources, every eligible utxo earns the 5%.

If KMD didnt have so much other tech, this feature alone would be the main featured one.

Notice that even cold wallet storage earns interest
Even wallets that never go online, earns interest.
Just having received the KMD from ICO distribution, and you are earning interest.

Iguana wallet just had an internal release with a lot of improvements. We are testing internally and hope to make a release later today. Where today is likely using the westernmost timezone

We hope to have release candidate installers for unix and window within 4 hours, but dont hold me to that. I am just estimating based on internal Slack comms

osx version should be soonish after that. we still dont have everything fully automated in Jenkins, but that will be happening soon to minimize the delay from when we could have a release ready to when we actually have the freshly built binaries

Now even this first release, is just the first release. There are still many aspects that are without GUI, or just partially has GUI support. The top priority is providing people a way to access their KMD, across the major platforms.

After this is achieved, we will be bringing the other functions into the GUI. So, expect a stream of GUI updates for a while. I know many like things to just have a single stable version and barring bugs, the initial version can be held static, but you wont be able to have a GUI for the full spectrum of the komodo ecosystem.

We will do our best to make upgrading as seamless as possible, so updating to the latest will be a matter to download and click a few buttons.

The good part is that even without running any GUI, you are earning the 5% APR interest.

If you have a project idea for the komodo ecosystem, I encourage you to post details in the SuperNET slack. If the idea has merit, odds are very good that you will quickly find people who will fund it.

The komodo ecosystem has the SuperNET organization behind it, but it is a fully decentralized organization. That means anybody can join at any time and become a key contributor. And we are very open to new people and new ideas and new projects.

Dont be shy. Most of the key contributors you see, initially were outside the SuperNET and just by doing what they like doing, they are now key contributors. Even if you dont have a specific project, there are many preexisting projects within SuperNET that you can contribute toward. Key contributors are certainly rewarded, usually with stakes in the projects they are working on, but there are many things that are able to pay in KMD and maybe even BTC.
