i just trying the standalone version to mining at suprnova pool.
i want to ask, if the official zec launched in 28 oct, can i withdraw my balance to zcash wallet ?
what i mine at suprnova now ? testnet only ? or real zcash ?
Is that a sort of cloud mining? So far, I have come across only two sites related to Zcash mining...

a. www.zcashminers.org - Seems like a miner development challenge.

b. www.zcash-miner.com - Only saying "We are working on a server set up for large scale Zcash Mining."

Hoping to see a good Nvidia GPU miner, to finally put my card for some work  Cool

But I guess mining will be quite hard from day 1 since this is such a popular coin already.

It will be hard to buy zcash at launch for reasonable price. The future narket at bitmex is not wrong IMO. At release there will very limited coins in existence and everyone would want in. Price will surely go beyond parity at least in the initial period.

You can now test with nicehash's miner:

https://github.com/nicehash/nheqminer

Works fine on https://zec.suprnova.cc

Does it offer a site wallet to hold zcash mined at the pool till a windows software is out? If yes, can zcash be sent from pool wallet to multiple t-addresses and p-addresses at the same time?

You can use your hosts file to redirect the host to the pool, i'll give instructions shortly Smiley

but yes.. it's primarily targeted for nicehash where you then can point the hash to the pool

I've just got started with the Zcash miners for Ubuntu & Windows that were released by Nicehash.

You can watch a video I made for each of them and they should be useful for anyone who wants to get started mining Zcash.

I don't thinik I get how it works. You can't invest in zcash right now, can you? It is only mineable, isn't it?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

For me, reasonable price is 0.0001btc, xzc is overvalued and hype followed zcash, with more and more mined coins, it will be dumped below 0.0001btc.

Out of curiosity, I dl'd the NiceHash miner and ran a benchmark (75% of cores) on my i7-4790K:

Quote
Equihash CPU Miner for NiceHash v0.1b
Thanks to Zcash developers for providing most of the code
Special thanks to tromp for providing optimized CPU equihash solver

Setting log level to 0
Benchmark starting... this may take several minutes, please wait...
Benchmark done!
Total time : 18778 ms
Total hashes: 100
Total solutions found: 200
Speed: 5.32538 H/s
Speed: 10.6508 S/s

What are any of you getting?

So this only works with Nicehash pools? All Zcash is converted to BTC?

I ll try to test it on my i7 later
