I am so angry that I didn't mine it more when I first heard about it in like 2011. I heard about it early enough that I could have probably found a block on my own at some point. I had decent hardware even though I was young.
I mined it for like a week and ended up getting what would now be some really good money. Maybe a few hundred dollars? I lost the wallet (probably deleted/forgot about it because at the time it was worth squat) and only picked it up in April of this year. I didn't get serious until about a month ago.
Then again, I think still have the hard drive that the wallet was on. If I could find the file, I could have some good money. Hmm....

My only regret is not spending my life savings on Bitcoin back when I first learned about it, when it was going for $15 a piece.
Oh well.
Same here... I was even on the casascius website and very tempted ti buy a 10BTC silver coin... Oh welll, jumped in with 10% of my savings when it was 50 USD. Did not turn out a bad decision, but wished I bought more...

Attempting to buy BTC on eBay was the worst BTC choice I made. Just don't do it.

Mining 10,000 coins, selling them at $2 a pop because money was tight. I told everyone this is the next big thing, then ignored my own advice. That was an $8,000,000 mistake. Wish I had forgot about a few. Joining the bay area bitcoin meetups in 2011, meeting lots of entrepreneurs with great ideas who wanted to work with me, even pay in bitcoins, then moving away for a new comfortable salaried job. Buying in at $200 a few months ago when I again realized I hadn't missed the boat, then selling at $300 for a quick buck thinking I could buy back in. Buying in again at $1000, then the crash happened. Getting hacked at MtGox, CampBX, Inputs.io I made a lot of "almost" right decisions. No more trading for me

In November 2012 I was offered beautiful Alfa GT and decided to buy it, but was little short of money. After some brainstorming where to find the rest, I remembered that I have bitcoins collecting dust on some usb stick, leftover from mining which I've quit in late 2011 when btc price has dropped to 2-3$. So I happily sold 144 btc for ~12$ each. But even if I haven't bought that car, I am pretty sure I wouldn't have a nerve to wait for big 3-digits, let alone 4-digits price. At least it's easier for me to think that way

1) A couple years back I experimented with brainwallets, and decided to test the concept by memorizing a long key to be hashed, and destroying all paper copies of the key. The key wasn't tied to any of my passwords, or any other information I would have access to. I *intended* to recite or write down the key regularly, but, well, let's just say that bitcoin is forever lost now....
2) A couple months ago the boss needed some computer software he was having a hard time finding. I checked bitcoinstore.com, and saw they had it, and offered to buy it from them (I knew their delivery times were awesome.) I never use exchanges, but the plan was to spend the coins that Thursday evening, then that weekend while traveling, use localbitcoins.com to buy more, since I'd had plenty of success with them. Bitcoin had been steady at about $120 or so up until then. The NEXT DAY I saw the price had jumped. I totally crashed and burned with localbitcoins that weekend--no one was free to meet (that, or they all just wanted to hold onto their coins,) and I wept as the price crept over $1000 before I was able to acquire more. Six bitcoins worth of software bought, replaced with a fraction of that. Never again... from now on, I get the replacement coins FIRST.

Bitcoin is the ultimate freedom test. It tells you who is giving lip service and who genuinely believes in it.
... ... In the future, books that summarize the history of money will have a line that says, “and then came bitcoin.” It is the economic singularity. And we are living in it now. - Ryan Dickherber... ... ATTENTION BFL MINING NEWBS: Just got your Jalapenos in? Wondering how to get the most value for the least hassle? Give BitMinter a try! It's a smaller pool with a fair & low-fee payment method, lots of statistical feedback, and it's easier than EasyMiner! (Yes, we want your hashing power, but seriously, it IS the easiest pool to use! Sign up in seconds to try it!)... ... The idea that deflation causes hoarding (to any problematic degree) is a lie used to justify theft of value from your savings.

Buying only 1 coin for $8 when I could of bought a lot more. But that 8 dollars in cash turned out to be a pretty could investment. The decision was good but bad because of missed opportunity.

Yep, exactly. I really wish I had kept the few bitcoins I sold last summer.
