Oh, the copycats! The level of people copying Ark is crazy!

Please name one. I've heard a lot about these mythical copycats, but no one wants to name them for some reason.

Lisk is one but there are a bunch, some completely removed all Ark. There is none of the crypto calling or naming itself interoperability or even Ecosystem before Ark. Now most crypto calling itself ecosystem or interoperability, I call that copycat. There is no vendorfield or bridge before with lisk, I call that copycat. There is no hook/plugin/modular or typescript before with lisk, I call that copycat. The lists keep going and going, basically Lisk try to have everything Ark already done a few months or year back. They don't want to fork from Ark so they look weak but rather copying and taunting then naming/calling it something else. They kill Crypti this way, copy/fork it and hype they're better. If you read lisk roadmap now, it's just Ark but a year late because of that copying process. This is way beyond copycat craziness, it's taunting, they don't even care/bother to create anything different from Ark.

So to summarize the list of copycats consists of:
1. Lisk
-end of list

Ark started as a fork of Lisk. Something doesn't add up...

You're just being ignorant just like the Lisk people

Easy there. Ark (v1) started as a fork of Lisk. Even the title of this thread was "no longer a fork of Lisk..." when they launched v2 that was written from scratch. You're not seriously trying to deny this? That might be seen as... I don't know... Ignorant?

I haven't been actively following all the developments, but at the start the Ark team was strongly connected to the Lisk community. There were even bonuses for paying with Lisk during the ICO. What happened?

I don't know a lot about when ARK first started or their LISK connection, but I know that the recent development is impressive on all fronts... graphical UI, GitHub activity, new website...
It makes sense that ARK is unique and not a clone of anything.

The only thing that's left is collaborations and marketing.
About that, I've talked with their team not long ago and they assured me they have a dedicated team with a plan ready for marketing.

ARK Core v2.5 upgrade is now live, and the majority of the network has successfully updated. While we push on to our next, and biggest upgrade yet, check out this blog post for details on what this upgrade entails and what is coming in v2.6.

Is 2.6 going to be the "biggest upgrade yet"? Even bigger than v1 to v2? Shocked

And regarding the updated roadmap (https://ark.io/roadmap), I can't find ARK Logic / VM / SmartContracts anywhere, how is it named and when is this expected to be completed?
This is the most likely feature that will bring you customers and my humble opinion is that you should push it ASAP before your competition catch up to you.

Ethereum has some serious scaling problems and LOOM is the only viable solution at the moment, but I've read your whitepaper and what you're building for decentralized apps and games is much better than what we have available at the moment, just..... get it done soon please! <3

Ark seems to need to have an influencer, author or article writer or contributor from the team or community to spread words and share correct information about this project, maybe as part of a marketing strategy. especially for the Asian region, you need to get some love from this region.

just a suggestion as a reference, one example, if you have Chinese language skills try writing news or information about this project on the biggest blockchain news site in china =

https://jinse.com

for now, let's see and look for keywords about Ark on that site, so there is very little news and information that you get about this project.
information is not as much as articles for other projects such as waves, komodo, tron and others.

there is no news about the development of this project, about the achievement of this project, about ark deployer etc. in there

As far as I know, the latest information and news about Ark, which actually appears there is only a "subjective" rating of this project. Unfortunately ARK gets a C rating while Lisk is considered to have a B rating in there. Is that true?  Grin

please check =

Ark
https://jinse.com/blockchain/332328.html

Lisk
https://jinse.com/blockchain/332340.html

So far, there are many articles about Lisk in there, while Ark just a little exist at all,

I see that is one example of why this project seems to receive less attention, especially from the peoples of Asian region, even though you have some market exchange there, you don't get enough love and big trade volume there,
if you don't give some love to them, so you don't get some love from them.  Grin
let's change their views by giving actual information about this project. I'm sure you will get massive support and the community can growing stronger

Influencers stick with projects that are on the top in order to draw more attention to themselves, we're in an age where people follow blindly like a herd, so if a coin happens to be on top, it'll be believed to be good and get much traffic and attention but if it drops, everyone forgets about it.

Is it like shapeshift as it's non-custodial?

the good part is most of the techs and tools already working.
thanks for your hard works. very powerful crypto vision.
you guys working tirelessly to keep pushing the boundaries for the crypto.
deal with this, in my many years in crypto land i never see anyone pushing out the techs, the tools, then the improvement to the blockchain like you guys. i have to admitted i also do see many cryptos with so many promises that i never see any fruit.
