It seems there are bad news all around with doom and gloom. Trade figures going down, jobs cuts, security situation not going well, and bad loans.

yes to some extent, but it is the media that sometimes makes it look a lot worse that it actually is.
the worst problem these days is unemployment or in other words finding a decent job that you can earn a living with.

In my country I say it is bad.. there are a lot of factors why it is bad and the main reasons are the politicians. They are the one whose holding back all the funds that can be given to the people and use it for livelihood. Corrupt politicians are like cancers in my country and hopefully our new president will eliminate these alligators so we can move to progress.

In my post-Soviet country economical situation is very bad. Food is rather cheap and you can manage to live for 50$. But renting a flat costs more than an average salary. Medicine is not cheap as well. Oh, and about 3 years ago it was a lot better. Prices were two times less then now almost on everything and salaries were mostly the same.

A lot of countries are facing problems like that but i guess the center of this discussion is not that, because in your case the economy may not be bad but it is held back by the politicians which is completely another thing to be discussed, as if i talk about my country the thing would be the same, corrupt politicians and all, but the economic problem has not yet been encountered as asked in the title.

The same thing in my country, even though the government is having a good fight against corrupt politicians. But these corrupt politicians are also fighting against them. So what is happening here is that blood against blood, brother against brother. As long as they are going to claim power no one will humble and the country will be in debt.

The economy in Canada isn't that bad, however, it is definitely taking a turn for the worse and by the looks of it the government is going to keep throwing us into a deficit saying they'll repair infrastructure and so, which is (apparently) never going to happen based on the spending habits.

Oil basically has to turn back up soon, otherwise one of the biggest economic provinces within Canada will start giving out a lot less.

In my country we were in the crisis but if I am correct then we are official out of the crisis for almost a year and you do notice it it a bit but also not that much. I have a job so it did not effect me as much as it has effected other people or my country as a whole.
But in my country it is all light if you are going to Greece and stuff there is where it goes down at if you look at the economy.

Do you believe in official announcements? The simple truth for the vast majority of Western economies is that there is no sustainable economic growth besides artificial short term effects due to quantitative easing. In fact, real growth is clearly negative if you take inflation into account. For the US see here:

It's well known that governments bend statistical indicators to maintain the public impression of a healthy state of the economy. That is, because a negative impression of economic health carries negative psychological implications that may lead to even worse economic activity. After all, the power of governments depends a lot on the public perception of economic health.

So far, none of the factors that led to the crash 2008 have been resolved. Instead new risks of extreme proportions have been generated by quantitative easing and debt expansion in a desperate attempt to buy time.

Not really since our new president is making a new plan to make our economics really grow and he is trying all the best plan to make our economics grow. Our President is good when they talking about trading and he will do what best for his country and ofcourse the economy situation in my country is best.

Not really since our new president is making a new plan to make our economics really grow and he is trying all the best plan to make our economics grow. Our President is good when they talking about trading and he will do what best for his country and ofcourse the economy situation in my country is best.

The economy is at its normal trend right now in our country our president is working on it to make own stand for economic growth as well as cleaning people from criminalities and making the economy safe for investments from other foreign investors.

I think the economy of my country has been good then bad and now it's starting to recover again. We have our new president now, and I guess he's actually doing a good job recovering the damages that the past corrupt government has done. Back then, we had this strict president. He's the one who did that martial law in my country -- the Philippines. He's strict but he did a great job making the economy of our country great. Today, the new president is just like him. He's strict as well when it comes to the law, and he's making a great job making the economy better.

It was felt in every third world countries and that includes us.  But I can say that here in our country, even if we belong in the third world it seems that there is hope.  Little by little we felt change.  We become more optimistic that our country would turn out to rise again.  Contractualization has ended, more jobs have been promised to open.  I still have high hopes with my country.

the problem about "not getting a job" is probably caused by overpopulation in your region so it's really hard to find a job and you need to compete
well in this case your govt should teach their citizen to be an enterpreneur not only to be "workers"

Back then, the economy of my country was really good. It used to be 1$ = 2PHP in my country. But now, 1$ = ~45$. It is because of all those corrupt governments that handled our country. Today, the economy is starting to be great again because of the new President. It has just been 100 days and there's a lot of changes and all of them are positive, and that includes the economy.

I believe that our country's economy is rising again, since we have a new
president in Philippines. Because of our new president our economy has a
good future.

Same thing with me but as in the case of politician but as regard to the economic condition I will say is not that bad but moderate. I try as much as possible to contribute my quota to the deveopment of the economy by been a patriotic hardworking citizen. As of this moment with the new administration we expect changes in the economy and hopefully we become competent and more stronger.
