Do you have a roadmap for DOT? Are there any plans to create additional uses for DOT maybe?
I have an idea. Maybe you should give away just a tiny bit amount of DOT to each active cryptopia account. Maybe just 5 DOT to each user. Then start distributing 5% of your exchange fees among DOT holders.
That will help you in many ways such as: - Creating a LARGE following of users that actively promote the exchange If you were to spend 5% of your exchange fees on advertising to grow your userbase, it wouldn't get you much far. Also, the advertising would only work as long as the ad is running. On the other hand, an active userbase holding DOT will promote and market your exchange FOREVER! Imagine the value you'd get.
- Growing your userbase and increasing volume exponentially as a result Using just a tiny percentage of your exchange fees, you can grow your userbase and volume exponentially. As a result, the exchange will make more profits than ever utilizing this neat little marketing tactic that you are very well capable of implementing easily while most other businesses are not! This is your competitive advantage right here.
- Increasing the value of your own DOT holdings As the volumes grow and DOT finds more value (due to the tiny bit of fees profits), you will soon witness your own DOT holdings going up a lot in value than ever before. You'll be shocked how well this could work out! Meanwhile, it will also be more meaningful for a trader to buy DOT since it will have a real user and inherent value because of exchange fees distribution.
Just writing it out here because I like your exchange and for that reason, I hold a little DOT. It could be a great guerilla marketing tactic which will make you among the top exchanges in crypto and I'd like to see it happen! Good luck

Can anyone explain what's happening with the BTX wallet? It's been disabled for an "update" 6 days ago! No news, and the support still doesn't provide any ETA whatsoever.. seriously, an update taking 6 days? Should be a fairly straightforward procedure taking ah hour tops. Or did something go wrong?

Hi guys. The wallet is working fine, right now I am using it without any problem, just to let you know. They may have finished working on it since your posts and mine. 6 days is nothing, I've been waiting for 2 weeks or more already 2 weeks for what? It's not true, I use Cryptopia two or three times a week.. And you could contact the support because they are quite efficient to deal with customers support

Status: Maintenance Reason: Wallet defragging i bought 500 coins and wanted to do PoS mining, but its still sitting on the exchange after 2 weeks, because i cannot withdraw them.

lol blissz, i was the poor sucker that was woken up and had to get out of bed to fix that DOT roadmap - there is a token on the way that does what you outlined to a degree, but it's not DOT. DOT will continue to be the currency of Paytopia which will get some love soon. Regarding wallets in maintenance, there was Chaincoin which forced us into scaling and now the BCC split to worry about - these things have taken most of our Dev time over the last month. I know it's not a great answer for you, but fixing random wallets that have problems is not super high on our priorities list at the moment, in a week or two I think we'll be more able to go and fix up these kind of issues.

MySeriousFaceIsOn: Any idea on when identifying street signs and South American shopfronts will be a thing of the past?
Are you talking about Recaptcha? It's so annoying and very irritating. "Click on the cars" There is not a single car "Click on the street signs" nope you failed, try again "Click the cars" you click all the cars but yet you fail, try again... You sometimes need to pass 4-5 captchas just to be able to log in the website. Maybe they should consider turning the login page in a faucet. If @MySeriousFaceIsOn can get out of the bed again to take the time t remove it or changing to Solve Media or another</joking>

For some reason it's really aggressive when logging into Cryptopia - I have to consistently solve more puzzles than with any other site. Street signs are from all around the world, but all of the shopfronts show text in a South Americanish language. What's wrong with shopfronts elsewhere? (You may be able to tell I get hit with recaptcha a LOT... but I'm a fucking human. I think.)

As someone that has to be logged into 2 accounts on 2 machines almost permanently, i understand your pain, and sweet sweet release from recaptcha is already in test.

What fee applies to each purchase / sale coin ?
We take 0.2% of the transaction in fees in whatever currency the base-market of the pair is.

So you have any idea when the btc wallets will be available again? So exchanges have already enabled doing every as normal over 2 hours ago when they have confirmed the network is stable now.
I know your in New Zealand and working on their work clock but come on. You should of enabled the wallets before you all "went to bed" last night.
Also that bcc wallet is not accessible either while it has been trading on others of the big ones for atleast 4 hours now.

Thanks for the response Is there a way for DOT holders to benefit from a new token, maybe allow some sort of discount if we purchase it with DOT, since we have tried to see DOT as topia's beloved currency.. So I'm hoping the DOT holders get to benefit from the new token somehow, maybe you can establish a stronger and more direct connection with DOT and new token's success so that DOT holders don't feel left out Great work overall, seems like topia is going places

(You may be able to tell I get hit with recaptcha a LOT... but I'm a fucking human. I think.) If you are logged in a Google account, you don't need to click any image, just the "log in" button. As logged in a google account, you are considered clean and human in the eye of google. But still boring if each time you have to log in a google account to show you're not a bot As someone that has to be logged into 2 accounts on 2 machines almost permanently, i understand your pain, and sweet sweet release from recaptcha is already in test.
Thanks a lot for my sanity! I will wait to see the change with patience. I will be very happy

I like cryptopia because of its great features and many cryptocurrencies. Support is very good and deposits/withdrawels always worked fine. One aspect could be better not only cryptopia but many exchangers. The mobile interface is not finished at my opinion and could be improved.

I have recently bought #CLAM from Cryptopia and still couldn't withdraw it to my wallet. May I know what is the issue? When a wallet is showing a beige colour instead of white this means the coin's wallet is in maintenance mode... Your image implies that coin is in maintenance mode. The very fact there is a black dialogue box actually stating that the coin is in maintenance mode also means the coin is in maintenance mode... It then goes on to give a reason being a server migration is in progress...

You think people running an exchange go to bed while BTC is forking? ... really? .... like seriously? I think you'll find that most admins at exchanges are starting to forget what their wives and children look like. Us and every other exchange could have split the coins, added markets and unpaused everything in 5 minutes if we wanted to. Our scripts to do this were written well in advance. The reason exchanges allowed trading but kept deposits and withdraws disabled is because we could guarantee that BCH/BTC in the system after the doors closed would be 1:1, but the exchanges couldn't actually split the coins, start moving them around to avoid attacks until BCH was actually producing blocks - thats why the doors (deposits/withdraws) stayed closed at all exchanges for quite a while after. Did you expect us as an exchange to go "oh well, it's only 100% of our collective customer funds at risk, what could go wrong, yolo"?
