I can imagine C&C laughing as they read the description of this coin already:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=592251.0

that looks like an easy target with an up to 16x speed advantage over any AMD miners that may eventually pop up.
(because in the AMD miners no one ever bothered trying to resolve the path divergence, like we did)

However if it remains a crapcoin with no value and no notable exchanges, then why invest any effort...

The coin's developer is phm (but he's not the person behind the roulettecoin account and the thread). Phm usually
creates GPU miners. And he's claiming performance will be worse than CPU miners. Quick, someone order him a
book about parallel computing and stream compaction algorithms. Wink

It does.  I decided to cut them a break and spelled out how to do it - curious to see if they'll figure out how to make it work. Smiley

Oh no please Prof. Andersen don't  ruin the mood of CPU miners too soon. Even with the crappy cpuminer now one CPU could manage to solve some blocks / day at current diff. You and the duo C&C should deserved the title CPU-killer  Grin

Btw anyone tries saffroncoin or roulettecoin now?

+1  Grin nvdia inspector rules.
yes but, afterburner takes care of the fans (I use the custom fan curve) and I want to see the graphics for several variables  (tdp, gpu usage, etc...) Does nvidia inspector does that ? (and I have also a R9-290x on my system...)  13GHash/s on jackpot  Shocked For a coin which isn't on any major exchange ?  Could be fpga after all, there are rumor of fpga for X11
ah, no, I don't believe it does have custom fan curves.  I just manually set it, i only have two rigs, one gpu in each and both nvidia (750 ti and 660 ti), so I can't comment as far as AMD goes.  I was tempted by a 290 at the store the other day... Electricity is quite cheap here in Taiwan too, but something about nvidia is just so fun.  I'm tempted to get risers and build some kind of custom 750ti contraption.  long live CCminer!

skein is still not possible with ccminer so groestl is your only option now. But somehow i think this coin is a big scam so why IPO for 1 month is only 3.8BTC Smiley))
but maybe i will give it a try, who knows.

one might expect (dream... more realistically... didn't work that well with juggalo coin) that people won't sell below IPO coin value

I'm currently mining saffron and got quite a few blocks solo mining on groestl.  I'm still getting them but the first 2 days were definitely more valuable at 216 per block.  Unfortunately I had my power cut off temporarily due to a billing issue they failed to notify us about so I've been out of operation for 36hrs.  Not sure if I should still be mining it but I won't have the time to investigate what to mine until I'm off work in 2 more hours.

You didn't see what happens with HVC? A lot of more innovation than this clone Futurecoin. And over 100BTCs IPO. Now which price is 1HVC? It's five times lower than IPO price if I remember correctly?
People are more and more careful with crypto. It is not a gold land like 4 months ago.  Cool

You mean myriadgroestl or pure groestl with Saffroncoin? I couldn't get myriadgroestl to work with saffroncoin, still don't test groestl.

Myriadgroestl is the only one it works with since it's a clone of Myriadcoin.  You have to put groestl in the conf file but use myriad in the bat file.

**EDIT - Well mine is working fine and that's how we were doing it to start with, but I see it says on their website now to put myr-groestl in the conf file.  Guess you can put either one?

0. prepare the system for compilation (gcc, git etc.)
1. install cuda toolkit 5.5 (https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-toolkit-55-archive) -> you can use the .deb file for 12.10
2. install the latest nvidia drivers (http://www.geforce.com/drivers)
3. build cudaminer/ccminer (https://github.com/cbuchner1)
4. start mining Smiley

Anyone have any luck getting a GTX670 to mine Myriad Groestl on any ccminer above .5?  I've verified compute versions and everything but it still gives unrealistic numbers.

It mines jackpot with v.7 ccminer30.exe but won't mine myriad on it.

I third this as well.

I gave up and mined something else with that but had all my 750ti's on it.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

Maybe GTX670 doesn't work, but I used ccminer30 v-0.7 to mine myriad groestl with two 660ti all day yesterday. Here's a .bat that works for me, you could modify the -d flag for your own system (I have a 780ti in the first slot and my 660ti are the second and third cards in my rig):

:loop

x86\ccminer30.exe -d 1,2 -a myr-gr -o stratum+tcp://us-east1.myriadcoin-groestl.miningpoolhub.com:20479 -u username.workername -p workerpass

@echo Ooops
goto loop

Hi all, so now I am mining at https://myrgrs.suprnova.cc/ with ccminer 0.7 x86 for christian ofcourse. I am getting 16500 khash/s for 3 x 750ti. Is this what I should expect? This is with all cards on mobo and without any overclock. My .bat is

ccminer50.exe -q -s 1 -a myr-gr -o stratum+tcp://myrgrs.suprnova.cc:5678 -O user:pass

Temps are extreamly low and I think i will be mining this all summer. TDP is around 50% WOW!!

I have another question: Can we mine qubit, skein and blake algos with ccminer or is that in the pipeline. I know christians are working on X11 and improving groestl but are these algos in the to do list? I think Blake will be interesting to implement.

I post a command that works for me few pages behind you must have cuda toolkit 5.5 installed as pre-requisite.

Turns out you can't just grab the deb file and install that you need to grab the run file, extract it and then run the install (cuda toolkit). Thanks for your help and everyone elses too!

Well this is nice on myr-groestl:

[2014-05-02 21:15:39] accepted: 17/17 (100.00%), 6042 khash/s (yay!!!)

For a 750ti with just a basic command line I'm pretty freaking stoked...suggest I stick with myr or go for something else?
