The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

it might take a long long time before I might be able to optimised Christian code... don't hold your breath  Grin

Cuda 6.5RC has been released to the Devs, and I am telling you that if we can crack cuFFT..as Nvidia Cudaminer would be king..

here is a quote from the 6.5 enhancements:

Using cuFFT callbacks for higher performance custom processing on input or output data

There you go djm34. This is the perfect opportunity to optimized Christian code.  Cool
If someone can offer me "cuda for dummies" first...
(actually "Qt-creator for dummies" might speed up a lot more the process... progress are being made though  Grin, I don't want to worry TalkTeam  Grin)
I working on translating jha_keccak512 to use cuFFT right now. wish me luck.
Exciting!! Good luck!

Could some coding guru offer assistance?

In bash I can query the GPU temp with:

Code:
nvidia-smi --query-gpu=temperature.gpu --format=csv,noheader,nounits --id=0

How can I get the GPU temperature in C++

While "surfing" the web, I remembered Fuguecoin. Is there any other coin(s) with this algo?

Christian,
Boolberry stratum code is tested and complete. Both are here -> https://github.com/cryptozoidberg
Our test pool has found a few blocks -> http://162.243.210.156/#
ExtremePool has the stratum code running on http://boolberry.extremepool.org/

This looks like a reasonable starting point to do either a fork of said code, or to pull in all the stratum code into ccminer.

I'll proabably start by creating a cudaminer/ccminer-like Windows port based on Visual C++ 2010, as Windows is my primary
development environment for mining software.

Christian

I've done a lot of small changes with cpuminer multi, i guess you'll spent a lot of time moving this changes into another project(ccminer) and making it work.
May be it will be easier to port cuda code into cpuminer ? Windows is also my primary, but i was forced to work in linux with cpuminer-multi since this piece of mess have no chances to compile in VisualStudio.
Anyway, let me know if i can help you.

Zoidberg

there was a second one (made by the same dev instead of taking care of his coin) that's why it died...

Hey everyone thought I would share… My first attempt at solo mining tried it out on fresh coin. Didn’t go so well… Had to try it the hard way.

Being a n00b I made several mistakes. I had the github build from DJM34 with the freshcoin algo (thanks!)

Compiled on Kopiemtu 1.4 ( Thanks JK_14)

4 X 750TI Evga SC.

Wallet was on Windows 7 64 tried mining from one machine (linux) to another (windows) on the same network.

This is where the n00b problems began (mistakes were all me).

First I had named the config file in app/roaming freshcoin.config.text found that mistake and changed to freshcoin.config after about one hour after launch I gave up and went with the pool route. About six hours in and much googling I found the file should be named .conf once fixed and working I went solo all night {(ya! my first solo attempt (nothing)}. Switched back to a pool in the morning all’s good.

I don’t post often… I have learned a lot from all of you and wanted to share my experience and say thanks to all of you on this great forum, and for sharing your experience’s / information.

And a big thanks to all the developers for their contributions to cudaminer and ccminer (much appreciated)!

Strangest thing just happened.  One of my 660 Ti's failed while running CCminer over the weekend.
At the moment, I can't say if it was a direct result of CCminer or if the card itself was just defective.  I've had no issue running CUDAminer for weeks non stop on the same 660 Ti's.

Anyone else have a similar issue?  The cards are not more than 6 months old.
I submitted an RMA request to EVGA.  Should I expect any trouble?  I don't over clock or anything like that.

In the mean time, I picked up a 750 Ti and am very happy to report it's about 200KH/s faster than a 660 Ti for half of what I paid in February:

The above is X11 mining on Waffelpool.

One thing I've noticed is that the newest versions of ccminer stress the card more than older versions did.  Probably because the newer versions are getting better hashrates and thus make the card work a bit harder.  Overclock setting that were stable with 1.0 and 1.1 stopped behaving for 1.2.  Perhaps this drove your 660 to an early grave.

yes forgot about those exchanges (no point in selling it is so low), are you the one who buy 1000 FC ?

if you like dead coin, I can add Inkcoin algo (shavite-shavite). You'll be alone, don't expect instamining, it takes about 1h30 to get a block, the coin is stuck in high diff (4092), and there isn't any diff retargeting... (and it takes more than 300 confirmation to validate a block...)

Attached is nvMiner or otherwise known as ccminer 1.2U-D2 (U=unified)

Rev D2: Fixed a small problem with CryptoNight startup that would set block and threads to 0 without config file.
Rev D: Incorporates djm's latest addition of Fresh algo.

So Jackpot coin has a new wallet and they added some cool little features to it along with new icons and a couple brief comments on what's coming in the future.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=584481.msg7744505#msg7744505

They also disabled the use of wildcards in the RCPallowip setting which I'm guessing is to address that hack from a month or two ago. Since that hack I've been wondering if this has been happening for some time on other coins.  Most seem to put the conf settings in the ANN with rcpallowip=* so I'd guess it has.

Hi All, I hope someone can point me in the right direction.  I can't seem to get djm34's or savale's fresh algo to work in linux.  Both compile fine, but neither get accepted shares.  I'm mining at supernova.cc

With djm34's code I get this

[2014-07-08 16:38:54] DEBUG: hash <= target
Hash:   000006a28b09feb551c0a36e54023cdc331caef50ffd3c55d50d93e5c6ce7936

[2014-07-08 16:38:54] DEBUG: reject reason: Share is above target

with savale's code I get this

[2014-07-08 17:13:29] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 750 Ti, 2096 khash/s
[2014-07-08 17:13:31] GPU #0: result for nonce $008560C5 does not validate on CPU! vhash64 548d6403 and htarg 0000000f

These are fresh clones from github.  These are the steps I took to compile it up.

git clone https://github.com/djm34/ccminer
cd ccminer/
./autogen.sh
history | grep config
./configure --prefix=/opt/min/ccminer --with-cuda=/opt/min/cuda6
make

and run them like this

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/min/cuda6/lib64 ./ccminer -a fresh -f 256 --url stratum+tcp://fresh.suprnova.cc:5000 --user dpuser.machine1 --pass ekr489dr

Any suggestions would be great!

what hack ?

Back when JPC was going for 60-80 for the first time, someone was stealing coins by connecting through rpc port and sending commands that would send coins to their own wallet.  It seemed to mostly be within the Korean jpc community I think.

We are not to far from each other as I'm in south Jersey near DE and that nasty violent storm blew right through here.  No loss of power or anything however.

Maybe an Internet connection somewhere in the middle had an issue?

Try it again and let me know if you still have a problem.

Just released my updated profit calc Wink
List of changes for v0.5:
Added CryptoNight support + workaround that uses MoneroChain api to get diff and blockreward for XMR, since WTM, CT or CW haven't got it yet
(and WhatMine is a paid service, I need some nice donations if you want me to support them Tongue)
Added electricity cost into the calculation
Moved the layout a bit around -- Hashrates to the side + checkboxes for each algo -- Checked listbox for all market apis
Added AllCoin & AllCrypt to the supported market apis
Some other small fixes and improvements
URL: https://github.com/KBomba/cuda-profit-calc/releases

PS: If anyone could give me the FULL hashrates.text (or at least the wattages) for a complete 6x 750ti rig, that would be great Cool I'll add it as the default list.

Any chance to add x15?

 Wink

As requested Smiley https://github.com/KBomba/cuda-profit-calc/releases/tag/v0.5.5b

Intermediary release, not everything is 100% as I want it (still so much to add Cheesy ), not buggy, but I'm continuously implementing stuff so it can be a bit of a mess
Another rework of the GUI, opens up a lot of space.
    Added X15 & Qubit
    Added support for Nicehash X15 & Nist5
Added proxy support (no idea why, but I just could)
Added option that lets you switch between highest buy, most recent trade or lowest ask for price calc
Added option to ignore coins with negative profit
Added option to weigh PoolPicker ratings into the price (rating % * price), gives a more honest view IMO
Some general speedups, bugfixes and improvements

Great !!!!!

Thanks, that's my H24 App  Cheesy
