Well if it depends on the algo, I guess the new version won't fix it... Now the question is if it worth getting a strong CPU now for my rig...

intel i7 3770k@4500MHz 1 instance of ccminer with x11 use 6,5% of cpu. Using 19,5% now for 660ti + 2x 750ti (660ti take same percents of usage cpu as 750ti)
On an i3 750ti uses 9% of CPU, on celeron 19%.
Maybe Christian can give a better answer what causes the high CPU usage.

the "throughput" value was set pretty low (i.e. the number of threads thrown at the GPUs at once). The current github code has it increased 8-fold.
This should lower CPU use.

It's absolutely amazing. I used to get 70-80% cpu usage on 3 instances of ccminer1.0, running 7x 750ti's (3gpus,2,2). Now it's between 15-28%, no more. x11 hashrate is also consistent in the 2.0 - 2.15 mh/s range. No more wild fluctuations as before. Absolutely LOVE it Smiley

Here you go gang, faster x11. Make sure you donate to C&C!!!

http://www51.zippyshare.com/v/39560888/file.html

how come its not in zip and read me files ect?  thanks

Because it's not an official binary. I put it up quick like. You can get all other files from the official ccminer 1.0 zip, then just replace the ccminer.exe

So what's the deal with profitability of different altcoins these days?

Where do we really shine with the updated ccMiner v1.0? I have no clue, was busy optimizing hash functions Wink

Darkcoin vs Securecoin by now...
Securecoin is more steady, but Darkcoin is more profitable at this moment.

PS.: I'm calling the "updated ccMiner v1.0" v1.01...  Roll Eyes

HVC donation address: HNN3PyyTMkDo4RkEjkWSGMwqia1yD8mwJN  is that your wallet? Christian

yes that is my wallet, but an even better address is this one because I explicitly labelled it "donations for cudaMiner"

DRK is my hint on the longrun... if there is no problem with darksend arround, then .007x btc is not the top of the mountain.
I would not sell it right now.

SCR is nice to make some profit on the short.
A little more interessting at the moment seems to lease the rigs with the x11 algo to leaserig, betarigs, nicehash,...
Especially if some new x11 coins appear, some guys want renting power without calculate it the right way...

If I want to add the latest GitHub master commits to my current v1.0 of CCminer to get the performance upgrade and test, do I simply add copies of the latest files to my local copy, or do I have to recompile? I'm running it on Linux.

compilation is necessary, usually ./autogen.sh && make is enough

On Windows just build the project with Visual Studio
