I highly believe that bitcoin is really the future of money because it gives a lot of ideas on the future development of money like making our money digital so we can use and transfer it easily on the air and nothing to worry about. One of the reason why bitcoin is the future of money is it only requires small fees in doing transactions and that is the best for any kind of person who does transactions on daily basis so i think, it is really true that this is the future.

Many believe that this might happen and I am also too. But the thing about bitcoin these days is they are treating bitcoin as a stock not a currency. They are waiting for a price pump so they can have a profit and then change it to real money.

That's true, but this does hype up Bitcoin and sometimes by treating as it as a stock (which is it is good at being) people can become interested in the concept.

Maybe Bitcoin isn't the future, but the blockchain is.  Bitcoin certainly needs a lot of improvement, namely the scalability issues and high fees for small transactions.  Bitcoin could certainly be the future if it's amended to an extent that it can nearly maintain itself with block size etc.  It's just the idea of being able to make secure transactions without having to give out private details, rely on the state or accept constant inflation, and the idea of being able to do this online with anyone, anywhere without even having to convert currencies.  That's what's so amazing.

If Bitcoin became the future of money it would no longer be treated as a stock because there would be significantly less to trade it with (except physical assets like gold, but people already trade the US dollar for that anyway).

Not really a future money, but a good base to develop something similar. Bitcoin can never fully replace fiat, I think banks and governments will make their own cryptocurrency, learning from bitcoin and developing it to be better, and more controllable.

Many people sold their bitcoins when the price had just started to rise from its long-term lows at or slightly above 200 dollars per coin (if that comforts you somehow). Buying Bitcoin right now might seem not to be a very good idea overall, though I remember perfectly well when folks were telling exactly the same in last November when the price had first reached 800 dollars after so many years. I can see that happening in the future, they want something that can be called as their own, of course they are the government so they want to govern things. Bitcoin is decentralized so for sure they cannot control how the owners will spend their bitcoins but that will become worthless if the government will be very strict with their rules on the exchanges sites which will not favor us.

You are not too late for start again, I know the bitcoin about 19 months ago when the price no more than $200. Then I bought 5 btc and I sell when the price reach $560 in may 2016, by that time I had no idea there was a halving day because I thought it was lucky, after I sell all stock, I leave and active again 4 months.

Cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin are the future whether someone like it or not. Sooner or later they will become equal to fiat money. New technologies are taking place of old ones and so it's in the world of finances. The development of cryptocurrencies can't be stoped anymore.

The development of cryptocurencies has never been a question as to whether or not it could be stopped, but how much it would catch on. No-one can stop anyone from changing or developing anything. We have to still see if it will continue to grow, but so far it is showing strong signs of continuing in its life span and cryptos probably aren't going anywhere.

Yes as of now bitcoin is hitting its prime year. Its progress is on its highest peak so i think that there is a big future out of bitcoin. I agree to all your statement but that "will replace fiat money" I doubt that because that is impossible thing to happen, can you imagine what is needed to defeat fiat? and that is the government of a certain country. Bitcoin will never replace fiat and bitcoin will just be an addition to the payment system of the country.

Regarding the fees, it's just normal, wherever you go everything has fees unless you don't want to pay for it. And with gold, there's no way to pay people with certain portion of gold. well it is already the biggest crypto currency and it is soon gonna be way bigger than other digital payment methods, though to replace fiat we will still need to wait for at least a few more decades for bitcoin to become way stronger.

Bitcoin maybe has its ups and down in the past years. But still, this is just starting point of Bitcoin, it's unstable and fluctuations characteristics is to be expected because of the unstable and fluctuating world. Even gold's thousands of years ago has a starting difficulty.

HM, indeed bitcoin is a place that is hard to guess and it makes us sometimes get the losses on our attitude that is too pessimistic or rigid in addressing bitcoin. But it is indeed something that fails, because after that we can still use bitcoin for better things again and correct our attitude was bad in the past.
