question.  Would it be more profitable to pick a "winning" alt coin of your choice and mine that specifically?  Or jump around to different/ currently popular alt coins when difficulty changes etc etc.

well i find the multiport to be switching quite regulary to MNC, due to low payouts because of 2 MNC per block, which is pretty useless, or today, to NVC, which is useless aswell, because it takes ages to hit a block Smiley

The multiport takes the block reward into account when deciding which coin to mine.  MNC only rewards 2 MNC per block, but we find a block every few seconds when the multiport is on MNC.

NVC difficulty is much lower than LTC.  If it's taking 'ages' to find a block it's due to bad luck.  I believe when the multiport was on it earlier it showed an average block time of about an hour.

If you believe a new alt coin will become the 'next' BTC or LTC, you're welcome to mine that coin exclusively and hold it until that happens, however, you could accumulate more by mining whatever is most profitable and trading it for that particular alt coin of your choice.

What happened in the last LTC round? nothing shows under uncomfirmed, and it didn't carry over to confirmed.

Actually you're right, on 378792 it looks like there was a DB error while running the payout script..

Unfortunately all the shares for that block are gone and the payouts were not completed properly.  I don't really have a choice right now other than to pay it based on all the current shares in the DB.  If you've been on all day your reward should be about the same.

I'm making a few minor changes, so the website is down atm.

All pools are up except NVC currently.

I still can't connect to the stratum port.

I also don't believe I'm the only one as you used to have ~400MH/s in your multipool moving around and now I only see ~200 across all pools.

today, 17777 has been more stable for me. 7777 went down for me so I switched over to 17777 and haven't had any issues. I tried 7777 again, but it died again after a few minutes. I'll stick to the getwork for now. Smiley

my straum proxy that all my miners point to went down sometime today and was totally crashed until I killed and restarted the proxy process, might be related.

The multiport went down several times today and I'm not sure why.  I suspect a possible ddos, but I was at a family event all day without a computer which is why I wasn't able to fix the issue..  I'm going to build more functionality into the Admin console so that I can stop and restart things as necessary.

That said, things appear normal now and I'll be monitoring the site closely for the rest of the night.

What's up with the multiport calculated profitability over the last 24 hours, is that accurate? 0.71? Generally it's been about 1.30.

Someone brought up this idea in IRC today, would anyone be interested (enough to pay for) a 'personal' multiport, where you could select the coins you wanted to mine?

Added "Profitability Monitor" to auto switch between PPC, BTC, and TRC mining based on the current difficulty and Exchange rates.
http://json.karasoft.com

- Monitor works based on CGMiner API
- You can configure your Worker to Switch between 2 or 3 currencies based on Exchange rates from Btc-E as well as current difficulty.
- Worker popup window would allow you to see detailed statistics about currently configured pools and mining devices
- The following Changes can be done to you worker right from the website: Enable/Disable GPUs/PGAs, Switch between pools

I have plans to Add Scrypt based currencies during the next update.

You need to be a registered user (free to register) to use "Profitability Monitor".

I am confused also as to some of the profitability for these coins.  DGC or WDC both are more profitable than LTC and NVC currently and on a 14 day average.  NVC is currently the most "profitable" according to multipool.
