How can I connect to Mutipool through a stratum proxy? I have 4 Blade Erupters that I can connect to Slush's Pool with, but when I try to connect to any of the Multipool ports I keep getting "not connected. I am running the stratum script from Slush's site and adding the -o and -p to try to point it to Multipool.
This is the command I'm running: ./mining_proxy.py -o pool1.us.multipool.us -p 8888. Any idea of why I can't connect?

I ended up also using the -cu and -cp flags for custom user and password (i.e. -cu worker_for_all -cp xxx), respectively.  Be warned, though, that the BTC use of p2pool doesn't work (known problem with p2pool and mining_proxy.py).  For me, that leaves out my blades, and I only use multiminer for scryptcoin mining.

I did not try when in BTC-mode using the bfgminer proxy, so that might be a thing to look into if you still have no luck with mining_proxy.py...

add +1 after your username and the number of accepts you see scrolling by will go way up. This works for me on 3332 but I don't know what happens if you use 8888 and MP switches to a different coin.
This is my cgminer conf file:

{
"pools" : [
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:3332",
      "MultiPool" : " BitCoin (BTC) ",
      "user" : "Aurum.be +1",
      "pass" : "pw"
   },
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us:3332",
      "MultiPool" : " BitCoin (BTC) ",
      "user" : "Aurum.be +1",
      "pass" : "pw"
   }
],
"balance" : true,
"usb" : ":49",
"hotplug" : "5",
"log" : "5",
"shares" : "0",
"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin",
"icarus-options" : "115200:1:1",
"icarus-timing" : "3.0=100"
}

+1 will set your difficulty to 1 on the BTC port, however, that is way too low for fast ASICs and probably the reason that our efficiency has dropped by 20-30% on the p2pool port.  (I'm not talking about worker efficiency, I'm talking about p2pool share efficiency.  This has an impact on our rewards as a pool)

It will also not work if you're using the multiport as that username won't be recognized on the other coins.
Block Eruptors hash at only 0.3335 GH/s.
If I don't add the +1 I get zero accepts, just constant requests for work restarts. Even with the +1 I'm sent work with diff 5/4 to 136/4.

I do NOT use it for my BFL Singles that hash at 58 GH/s.

I didn't think it'd work for anything but port 3332, thanks for clarifying.

I suspect P2pool is just too fast for Block Eruptors.

I noticed the p2pool efficiently had dropped a lot. Is that the same as the whole P2pool network or just us?

Wondering same...

Same here, I see 9 payments on Multipool, only 4 have appeared on Cryptsy. All the missing payments are LKY. There is only one LKY deposit which is pending since 1 AM, all the other 5 deposits aren't even pending on Cryptsy. The oldest missing deposit is from 5 AM.

Maybe Vern has to upgrade his LKY client and redownload the blockchain. Click Trade and see his comments.

The LKY fork doesn't take effect until block 100,000 I thought.

Is there any problem with the profitability calculation? It seems that we've been mining LTC for a long time, but the last hours mining FTC was more profitable (according to coinwarz, coinchoose and dustcoin).
It also seems that the coin exchange rate has been static for the last days, at least for LTC.

LKY multipool-cryptsy saga is still going. Anyone receives LKYs? Shouldn't LKY be removed from multipool till solution for payment is found?

I opened a ticket with cryptsy and got a pretty fast response that the problem is on their end. This is what they said, "We are having an ongoing issue with the LKY wallet locking up its server. We will continue to figure out the cause and get it resolved as soon as possible. Sorry for any delays"

I might be completely wrong but the stats page shows FTC with a rate 0.0001 but it can convert to BTC at 0.00039 or almost 4x as much
The profit on stats shows 4.74x and on coinchoose it says 12,000% or 12x which kinda matches the disparity above

I've got some exciting news about the SHA-256 Multiport!

We've reached 29.41 BTC worth of payouts.  Once the next P2pool block is scored, (i.e. tomorrow morning), I'll be switching the BTC payouts to proportional scoring over an average day's worth of P2Pool blocks (so 2 blocks at the moment), to approximately match P2pool's 24 hour PPLNS.

Starting this Sunday, 11/24, the pool fee for all SHA-256 coins will be reduced to 0%, and it will remain at 0% until January 1, 2014.  There will be a separate announcement around this, but I wanted to post it here first so you are all aware.  We have a miner with approximately 5TH that will be joining us on Sunday and they will be posting their own announcement as well to encourage other miners to join us.

At present I'm 60% of the hashing in the BTC P2pool and the pool efficiency is 86.7%

I took my 16 gig of Block Eruptors off this pool yesterday so they cannot be part of the problem.

What is our P2pool efficiency and confidence interval? How does this compare to the global p2pool efficiency?

You can see all of the p2pool stats here:

http://pool1.us.multipool.us:3332/static/

Our p2pool efficiency is at about 95% right now.  Our local stale rate is at 12% compared to 17% p2pool-wide.

Hi,

I'm new to mining in general ... I signed up for multipool and started cudaminer like this:
$ cudaminer -H 1 -o stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:7777 -u <username> -p <password>

Any plans on adding other SHA-256 coins soon?  I've been mining UNO, ZET, ASC, and XJO, with interest in trying out DEM and TGC.  I may also be open to OSC and TEK, but they confuse me.  Right now, two things prevent me from using the SHA-256 multiport: 1) FRC's demurrage feature and 2) long block times on PPC and BTC.
