Flound,

Just a thought. Is there a way to implement an autoswitch for all of the servers that will use the DNS load balancing to send miners to a working pool automatically when a DDoS attack is happening?

If Coinwarz is wrong then fair enough but at least people should be aware to ignore what it estimates.

I've seen other posters suggesting roughly 0.01 BTC/day per MH/s, so that would equal about 0.0046 BTC from my miner or about $3.59/day (after electricity, fees and converting to pounds I get about £1.24 profit), which is really not worth the hassle. The only thing that would make sense for me I think is to ignore the current most profitable coins and look to mine coins with good long-term gain potential. Mind you, I spent the first month doing that with SBC and look where that is now!

So it's a gamble but hopefully I'll have better luck with the next coin I pick.

Flound,

Multiports is giving wrong info. The most profit is not on moon, the exchange rate is wrong

(MP) MOON   7254.5 MH/s   0h5m   0.00000055   126.07

shoud be ~0.00000013

(MP) EAC   955.9 MH/s   0h1m   0.00000177   47.71

should be ~0.00000144

It can't be a delay, the difference is too big. Maybe you can have a look, if you have time or it

Yea, MOON is WAY off.

Looks like MOON value is showing correctly now, but the profitability algorithm must be off, as we were mining it and it was half of the next profitable coin.

(MP) MOON      336.6 MH/s    1h46m    0.00000013    29.58

Did you try doing a search in this forum Huh

Flound has explained the reasons.

My actual mining return is nowhere near the estimates either. I've been mining at a constant rate of 5Mh/s on the Doge pool for the past 3 days and averaging approximately 25,000 Doge/day. According to Coinwarz, 5Mh/s should bring in somewhere between 36,000 Doge and 47,000 Doge per day depending on the difficulty (which has changed a bit over the past few days).

Also on MultiPool's site it estimates approx. 1850 Doge per hour, but over the past 72 hours I've seen only 1023 Doge per hour.

I know it's all down to luck and the amount of blocks we find etc. but luck should even itself out over a period of time.

All my rigs are working okay at 98.5% efficiency, the graphs show a constant 5Mh/s ~5% for the past 72 hours.

It seems something's not right somewhere.

On a separate note - are there any plans to impliment DDOS protected ports for the individual coins, (rather than just the multicoin port)?

Thanks,

I don't seem to be earning what I would expect from multipool.

According to Coinwarz.com my 463KH/s should be bringing in about $7/day with either DOGE or LOT but from 35 hours of mining I've received:
.........................
.............
.......

One thing I've noticed is that the various hashrates multipool shows for my worker all seem off, so currently it shows that I'm mining DOGE at 437 KH/s and that the 10min hashrate is 391 KH/s.

EDIT: At this moment, both the current and 10min hashrate show as 416 KH/s whilst the 1min hashrate is 623 KH/s, so the first two are about 10% lower than cgminer shows and I have no idea how the 1min is calculated or what purpose it serves showing it.

You are totaly right.... the payments on multipool are off, I don't know why, but for me it's the same.

I am mining with a WU of ~2100 KH/s on the direct port from Doge. This is giving me ~11.000 doge a day. This is ~5.000 doge less then the estimate from Coinwarz.com. Nearly 30%

I don't know how this is possible, but it happens

Same speed 2100, same numbers of doges per day (and mining doges at another pool gives the same numbers).
But when I was mining novacoin - Coinwarz.com gave me exact numbers, just the same as I was mining.
So probably that's a dogecoin feature ))

Interesting.... Then Dogecoin is not that profitabile as we al think. With ~30% less... well you can all do the math

I also noticed the loss of the Doge on the direct server. Even considering all the possible reduced indicators - losses range amount from 4% to 25+%! For example, on one of my rig's I see now ~3700 coins 24h profit (4000-5000+ normally) with 650kh/s. Can anybody explain this phenomenon? Or waiting for a reply an administrator.

I apologize for my english Smiley

Given that attacks against the servers and the frontend are getting more frequent, I hope TFA from Google or Authy gets implemented at some point in the future.  Not comfortable logging in for the first time today to get a message about too many failed login attempts.

In case anyone didn't notice the news update, the DDOS-protected EU high hashrate server is now available at eu2.multipool.us.

What is the hash rate when deciding if one is high?  E.g., if I have 4 BFL Singles on one instance of cgMiner for a total of 232 GH/s do I consider that as a 58 GH/s hash Rate or a 232 GH/s hash rate. What about if I have 20 BitFurys mining in one instance of cgMiner do I consider my hash rate 2.2 GH/s or 44 GH/s?

From the front page:
Quote
Jan 27 9:56 PM The DDOS-protected EU high hashrate server is now available for BETA testing at eu2.multipool.us.  Please let us know of any issues.  Anyone may use this server as long as you are ok with high share difficulty (minimum 256 for both scrypt and sha-256).  Share difficulty may now be set up to 2048 on the accounts page.

I am also getting lower then the coinwarz estimates, but each doge block has random value of 1-1,000,000 shares in them. So if you get lower somedays it should balance out on others. Coinwarz Calculator bases calculation on 500,000 doge per block which is average of 1-1,000,000. Thats why its never accurate on per day basis.

I second the desire for Google Authetication. I had the same issue this morning. Secondary login protection is a huge priority for me. Number 1 priority actually.

agreed. make it so 2FA cant be shut off on the account without a text to your phone or some other secure form of authorization. I got burned on one exchange account that got hacked. they shut off 2FA on the account and was allowed to send the coins out. no confirmation email to me to authorize it.

I agree but usually it's about 10% less that Coinwarz but last day it's 30% less, and not only at this pool - my second rig is mining at another pool and I got the same results from it. IMHO now to mine dogs became just the same like to mine ltc directly. May be the situation will change another day...

I'm a little more than 30% down on what I *should* be getting, and that's taking an average over the past 3-4 days. You would think in that time the luck would even itself out. I was also mining at about 2Mh/s at Fastpool and getting the same kind of low results there. So I don't think it's something that is pool specific.

Saying that, even at 30% down, it's about the same to mine DOGE and LTC , (that's with the LTC diff. being quite low right now). The current estimate on my MultiPool account page is showing 44241 DOGE per day. Take off 30% and convert to LTC and that's approx. 1.98LTC per day. If I were mining with the same hash rate over at litecoinpool.org then I would be earning 2LTC. I can't be assed to switch everything over for 0.02LTC, and there's always a chance the DOGE/LTC price could get better, or the pool luck could change.

The block stale rate is getting higher again.  We have 226 submitted blocks in the past 24 hours, of which only 192 were accepted.  Of those 192, 11 were orphaned.  So that means only 181/226 or ~80% were paid.

Our average block reward over the past 24 hours is 478482.80404700787.

I've been trying to get Middlecoin to peer with us to help bring down the stales but he's real busy and hasn't had a chance to do it yet.

I'm assuming that most of the larger pools are probably having this same issue.  If the larger DOGE pools all connected directly to each other we could probably bring the stales down quite a bit.

Multipool - Always mine the most profitable coin - Scrypt, X11 or SHA-256!
