LOL there is no way I would ever copy the code on this page.  I mean really? the page has a red background with red font? From a UI/UX perspective this is a disaster and I hate to break it to you but a casino isn't a new idea... There about a million online casinos and just in the last year there has been about 100 new bitcoin casinos.

But you have said that you are copying his idea on this thread so I would tread lightly if I was you, plus:

Yes, I know someone will get that reference  Grin

I guess you don't really understand what qualifies as copying.  I can say all I want I am going to copy google's idea of a search engine or copy bitcointalk.org and create a bitcoin forum but no matter what if I write all my source code and aren't stealing anything, then there is nothing to sue about.

Once again, do you think all these dice casinos popping up are someones orignal idea? No, they saw a company like just-dice and said oh that's a good idea I want to do that and did it.  There is nothing just-dice can do unless they stole their source code.

But you are copying an idea which has a copyright, it's like if I manufacture a phone that looks like an iPhone I can get sued, no one will give a fuck when I'll say "but all those Chinese companies are copying iphones!".

Now granted you will probably either run out of money or fail to pitch your copycat idea, but if you don't your white ass will be wide open for litigation.

Sorry to break this to you, but ideas don't get copyrights, in the USA they can get patented, but that worth shit outside USA.

You can get copyright for most country but it will cost you 10 years of your time + a house or two. Then you need to renew them.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Ask the winki twins how copying there idea worked out for them. Last time i checked zuckerburg is still on the forbes list. the Owner of the site is broke & owes people money & you think he would sue someone. Makes no sense that he'd sue someone & reviel his identity. hed end up getting charged for fraud.

To be honest, here's what I think happened:
Casinobit's owner while drunk, deposited the bankroll into Just-Dice and proceeded to lose all the coins. The end.

Also original site is run by some guy in Israel, so the US design patents are not even applicable if he would try to register one.

So:
1. Casino idea can't be copyrighted.
2. The video stream is copyrighted, but acquiring a license is very easy.
3. Combine 1 + 2 and you have a new site, violating nothing at all.

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you an update, everything is still being worked on and we are thinking of introducing a live chat.

The claims of me being similar to pirate are absolutely bogus, why would I wait for the total to go from 60k to 30k in order to "rip-off" my players? Seems illogical.

In any case, thanks for your patience, compensation is also being discussed but I will not make any commitments in those regards as of now.

I wouldn't apply in the US for an unregulated casino patent.  Cheesy

Probably the idea could get patented but wouldn't be protected since the casino would be run offshore. If I wanted to patent a casino idea it would be in the European Union but still... patent was probably not designed for the Internet.

Hehe, good point.

Software patents are nothing but idea patents, people (I mean, big corporations like Apple, Microsoft, Google...) get patents on ideas not copyright on their code, they have patents like the right mouse click, progress bar, even interactive websites, that would cover almost all the WWW.

In regards to this casino, European Roulette is around for quite an amount of years, it should be public domain by now, video streaming and live gambling or whatever live in the Internet is not a new idea and probably not possible to patent.

The only thing that can be subjected to copyrights is the layout and why copy that?

This kind of patents only exist in the USA, and there's a movement to abolish them, as they stop progress and innovation and that goes against the goal of having patents.

I don't think it's design is that great for someone to want to copy though.   I commented on the site before, don't think the interface is that great.

I have a question: Why is the site still accepting bets if you are not paying out? There are at least two people on the thread who have not been paid (including me) for a total of nearly 3 BTC.

Would you be up for selling as you have lost most confidence in your players?

He really should sell the site, at least he'd make something off of it. The volume is basically nothing now & he really couldn't have profited to much from the scam, based on the intial profit investors withdrew.

Consider the money lost. If the owner had the coins investors & players would be able to withdraw them. It's very obvious the owner of the site is trying to squeeze out what ever money possible before site goes offline.
