I was trying to spread the word on this as much as possible, but the pre-ico sold out quick. Glad I invested. 
Capped at $4 Mill.

Definitely a good project worth waiting for. It's development period is long, but given what they are trying to achieve, it can be a game changer.

If I already have an ethereum wallets on my desktop computer, can I send the QRL coins from bittrex directly to my computer's ethereum wallet using the public address of my ethereum wallet? I know it appears may need a tool to interact with the tokens later but just in terms of keeping them safe on my computer rather than on an exchange, would it work to just send them to an ethereum wallet public address that I own?

Unfortunately seems like it's the case. This project is interesting and i think will be a good hedge if you think that bitcoin is doomed because of quantum computers as it doesn't operate on a quantum resistant system.

I would have loved to get my hands on some of these coins but unfortunately price seems to be a bit steep right now. As you said i think i'll wait till the initial hype dies down and hopefully get a few cheap ones.
