The wallet will only be released once the main net is launched (think early 2018). You can add it to ERC20 compatible wallets in the meantime like MyEthWallet.

I bought some QRL earlier this year and am holding it in my MEW wallet. When the mainnet is launched, there will be a swap to our real QRL coins right? At what ratio will that be 1:1?

I also think that it is just smart to have some QRL in the portfolio. Our whole ecosystem can crash if quantum computing suddenly will get in the wrong hands. I think its neccesary to be prepared somehow if shit hits the fan, and QRL is the project to go! Looking forward to mainnet! Thanks for the answers guys, 1:1 was what I expected.

NXS uses elliptic curve cryptography which is not quantum resistant they just use "longer keys" and call it Quantum resistant LOL, but hey some coins are even more vulnerable to quantum computers than Bitcoin.. Like say Monero -->> https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/2/how-vulnerable-is-monero-to-quantum-computingIOTA is not even a crypto it's centralized DAG for Internet of things good for Microsoft and other corporations I suppose, but not for decentralization. So no competition whatsoever for QRL.

not interested in myetherwallet for storgae, seen the guide and confuses me
has anyone downloaded the full ethereum windows client and stored their qrl that way? if so, is there a guide out there for this for the full eth client, and do you need a small balance of ethereum in the wallet to receive, if so how much thanks
Hey, Guido. I am using MEW, but I don't like it. But also at present moving away from a Ledger Nano S., so . . . I understand you need a pinch of Eth in an Eth because that's what provides the 'gas' for transactions. Gotta understand this better, me. Yeah exactly as you said you need some ETH in your wallet to pay the transaction costs. The transaction costs are called "gas" and are measured in the units of "gwei", you will have to have some ETH in your wallet for whatever transaction you do on the Ethereum blockchain, weather it is sending ERC20 tokens (such as QRL currently is) or sending ETH around, it all needs ETH (gas) to be processed. What I dont understand is why you are saying that you are moving away from the ledger nano S. I understand why people dont like MEW and see a security risk in it (although this also depends on the security measures one conducts, it actually can be used very safely, if done the right way), but the Ledger Nano S is the safest way to store ETH and ERC20 tokens that are laying on your ETH wallet, because the private key cant leave the device and therefore never is exposed to attacks, no matter how much viruses and malware there is on your computer. I definitely vouch for hardware wallets.

Medium blog update!!! QRL Technical: Weeks 43–48
- New processes, deployment packages - Better presistence scheme - Tokens Support - Ledger Support (stay tuned!) - Mobile Apps (in the works) - New API - Better CLI! - QRL tips using API with Tutorial (also stay tuned!)https://medium.com/the-quantum-resistant-ledger/qrl-technical-weeks-43-48-118f80ad465eWe have been able to share technologies and frameworks to the point that it is now possible to wrap the wallet with Electron and have them running as native applications. This, combined with qrllib XMSS running as a web-assembly, brings a lot of opportunities, in particular, hybrid mobile apps — more on this with some exciting announcements before the end of the year.
Mobile Apps Ephemeral has already been discussed in the past. At the moment, we are starting to look at reusing a significant part of our code to build hybrid mobile applications based on technologies like Ionic, React Native or F7. We are already looking at this and there will news soon, including new members of the team.
Tokens Whilst we envision eventual smart contract VM support for the QRL — that will come after mainnet launch. Until then we have implemented a new transaction pair (token_creation, token_transfer) which allow most of the functionality of ERC20 hardcoded into our blockchain such that we now have coloured coin functionality live.

People need mainnet ASAP meanwhile clowns busy adding stupid features like tokens which they must add after mainnet release via scheduled protocol upgrades. If you are trying to make a swiss army knife in first release from scratch you will end up with nothing. Of course a "doctor" of medicine have no fucking idea what is iterative development process, they are just having fun with ICO money, scammed enough to play developers game like a kids in a sandbox.

Nice, we will need to buy few gigabytes of extra RAM to run this electron shit. The conclusion is that QRL is a fucking vaporware.

Just a reminder to all the morons who are still holding this shit:
* Their paper guy sent FUD emails to investors few days after trading launch, price tanked * He did it again and dumped price even further * Waterlend dumped his QRL stash (he bought own ICO so he got it for free basically) * They are "developing" quantum snake oil using scripting python language * Moron on twitter have no idea how to tweet properly * Discord is a circle jerking with bans if you ask sensitive questions * Many people left * During all this time team never delivered quality updates to community * If you still chilling yourself with "stable in USD" bullshit, sorry, even fiat value goes out of alts
Serious project understand the value of deadlines, they altered all deadlines so we all have no idea when they will deliver even basic features on mainnet. meanwhile they keep adding features which must be postponed for scheduled protocol upgrades like all normal crypto projects do.
All this project is a bitcoin theft, "CEO" never spent any, dumped his QRL instead because he knows it perfectly that value of it is zero. They claim there are a dozen of people working on a project, they are just having fun with buddies. Python script for thousands of BTC.

Ah Sammy, you put the crackpipe down for a bit and got behind your computer I see. It's not questions that got you banned. It's stuff like "you can eat dirty whore's pussy, bitch." that got you banned. Discord is growing, testnet is doing great, they actually have frequent quality updates, maybe a bit too technical for you to understand it's value though. And deadlines? Clearly you don't know how much delay ETH had. (You know, the # 2 valued crypto.) Simple shitprojects get their dealines copy pasting. This is some serious groundbreaking developing. They launch when perfect. And that is what I want my money in. And about the "stupid features". If you don't understand the value of these features, maybe it's time to sell and invest in something else. Lots of these interconnect with the core of the project, so some basics need to be implemented before launch. You obviously haven't got a clue what you rambling on about.
