How to control greed on gambling?

Theoretically, to control greed is a target or limits either on gambling or trading, lose or profit. But, practically it's very difficult to do and emotional factors of course. Just few days i can be consistent, then back become greedy.

Controlling greed starts from ourselves. Instead of trying to control our greed , it is better to control the amount that we use to gamble. If we use small amount only then it is going to be better. The small amount is going to help us to control ourselves, we will not force ourselves to gamble more if we have already lose the amount that we deposit

That can be difficult because most people do not want to control themselves when they gamble they just want to get some fun, but the problem with that attitude is that it is really easy to lose track of the amount you are betting and that will cause you to lose a lot more money than you were expecting at the beginning of the night.

Additionally, it is a must to have a mindset that whenever you won an amount be contented and not to continue with gambling. I think its the best way to control greed in every aspect (even when you're losing too much, you must stop from rage betting cause it usually result in more loss). One way or another, it's a personal preferences if a person will let greed control him/her. It's just a matter of choice. (a hard choice lol).

The truth is the emotion is not really connected in this type of thing really. What a person should have is discipline, as you would've noticed discipline is not connected to how you feel but to your attitude and to what you're doing. So having the kind of discipline to stop you from being addicted on something is not by doing it so instantly. But doing it in a step by step manner, by having limits on your actions like you still want to play and you should but set time limit or number of games that you will be doing and every specific period of time reduce it, and repeat each action until it reach to the point that you can now stop.

then you should have a high level of discipline to deal with that inconsistency right? greedy could be controlled when you have a desire to make it a long term business , but still when it comes to gambling greedy would always win and take over your whole realistics thought. even a hardwork won't work to not become greedy in gambling , that's the nature and just simply stop expecting to get a steady income through gambling. just play and have fun.

This so so much. Once you actually look at gambling in a way that it is and should be for fun, then and only then can you remove yourself from these greedy thoughts. Once you start gambling to become rich or to get you back on track with debts, bills or whatever, that's where greed gets you the most and you end up the sucker 90% of the time. I was a gambling addict for a good 5 years or so until I realized that what I do is not worth it. I started appreciating life more, the value of money and what I could do instead of flushing it down the drain. I have a much happier and more fulfilling life today than I ever did. Although the addiction and getting out of it hleped me grow as a human I would never wish it upon anyone. I believe gambling addiction is one of the worst ones you can have. Stay strong all of you out there who are struggling, there is a light at the end of the tunnel you just have to work hard to get there.

i don't get your point and its contradicting statement, being greedy should not be a part of your gambling activity it will keep you lose your money instead of having some earnings, if you are just playing for fun you will not be greedy as if you are just entertaining yourself.

It's always best to learn from our bad experience, sometimes we cannot really control ourselves because the reward is too big and that will give more pressure for us to win because because we want to aim big money. Our greediness is very negative when we are gambling, it does not bring good result and most likely it will just lead us to bigger loses, controlling ourselves is the key because regardless of your bets and you have control you are always safe.
