How to control greed on gambling?

I think greed is the main reason why a lot of people eventually loses money when they are gambling, it's hard to change a greedy person when they are in dire search of money. Maybe attending seminars for greedy people will eventually help.

Theres no seminars for greedy people but only a psychiatrist for those who are badly affected on gambling addiction.Aiming always for money does really contribute for most people to become a gambling addict because having this kind of aims will really push you to play gambling even more and knowing of being greedy is really a part of human nature which we can really hardly avoid when this thing comes out.

There is AA(Alcoholics Anonymous) for those with problems with alcohol so I will not be surprised if there was an association to help gamblers all over the US where they can share their experiences and how they have been affected by gambling addiction.

I do not think that gamblers will ever give time to others to tell them about their gambling experience they will be either busy in continuing their gambling or will have not money to go to any person so there will be another association comprised of expert and psychologists and they will hep the gamblers to tell them that how to gamble and when need not to gamble.

without doing this, i think we can not control our greed on gambling games because gambling games is design to attracted more people to play the games and if they don't thinking more deep, they can loss their money in everytime they played. its good if we can learn from others people experience because we learn what exactly they can win the games and we need to test it before we applied in real gambling games. but i admitted that to control our greediness is more difficult and its need to practice in every day.

It's totally dependent on your capacity that how you can control over for yourself.
In my perspective, I always try for myself, keep busy with other work to keep away from gambling.
It's a strong addictive entertainment, so it's not easy to control yourself. If you make an alternate entertainment then you can replace it. You must have been determined to keep it away.

I think when that happens, greed do not kicked that easy, I think what will kick first is anger and disappointment not greed. Not all gambers are greedy about how much they will win, but also how happy are they feeling in their gambling activity. Greed is not just about money.

I think when that happens, greed do not kicked that easy, I think what will kick first is anger and disappointment not greed. Not all gambers are greedy about how much they will win, but also how happy are they feeling in their gambling activity. Greed is not just about money.

I wonder why anger will kick in if you lose in gambling, that is not a normal reaction and probably the person experiencing it after losing in a gambling need to be check by a psychiatrist.  I would have understand disappointment since the one we expected does not happen.  Anyway loses does not trigger greed.  It is the winning s that triggers greed because we will aim for more winnings even if the winning is enough to keep us going for days.

I think the only way you can control greed in gambling is if you have self control. I think it's a trait we're born in. Like if for instance you are gambling and at first you won a certain amount then the next time you bet you lost, of course gamblers would want to gain back what they lost so they would try their best to win back the losses. Some would want more than what they gain especially when they've tried to win like a 100% of their bet. I've seen a lot of greedy gamblers and expect they would win back the next time they bet instead of being contented they would crave for more. In my own point of view you can only control greediness in gambling if you have other things that also influence you to be active affected other than gambling plus if you are only setting up in your mind that you will only play gambling just for fun and it not in a habitual way greediness will be automatically out of the picture whether you win or lose.

i don't think so because i think its depend on how that money is being used by the people. wise person will used money in important needs and the other people will spend their money to random needs that they actually don't needed. it is hard to control greed on gambling especially if we can win big money in short time and this could makes us wants to win more money.

And I think that once a gambler has really hit rock bottom, they will eventually want to seek help for their problem.

What do you say in that second part? That psychologists would help gamblers by telling them how to gamble? What?

My country dont offer that kind of help. Indeed that there are alot of countries that will help their addicted citizen however I think that people will only look for help when they had enough and had nothing left. So when everyone is already desperate that is when people will look for this service so it is like useless

since money can satisfy and fill everything you need to survive in this wild world i agree that anything involve money could ended bad , people really able to do something crazy for the sake of money. greedy are the product of human emotion when they see there's a potential to earn money but they don't know how to stop expect to get more and more money , nothing you can do .

For this time you can easily find the gamblers sharing their experiences as they make posts on these forums, blogs, or gambling forums, they do that's together with when they play gambling. Like me for now i am playing gambling but i also make some posts in this forum.

That was a worst situation of being so much addicted on gambling .If they only control themselves in first before they go in gambling activity they can limit their greediness .The money is the factor that a gambler pushes his limitation to earn money and not knowing it is  worst .It is simple to control the greed make some control and discipline on spending the amount that you will accept if it will lose.
