If they make it easier to monetize likes, maybe it'll become more used.

Bleutrade-price MOON/DOGE equals MOON/BTC now in Dollar - see here: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/mooncoin/#markets (in the table: price in dollar)

So only on Novaexchange there are cheap coins left at the moment (sub-Satoshi-price).

Edit: Not to say that 1 Satoshi isn't cheap still. But keep an eye on that table, so you can buy for the best price, if you intend to acquire MOON.

How Smart Likes Work

Moonlite Explorer 1.029.1 (beta testing):
http://mooncoin.com/ml/

Would a brief video demonstration be possible? If it isn't out of the way for anyone of course.

Do you mean to convert the picture http://mooncoin.com/how_smart_likes_work.png to the video?
You really need only do step-by-step what is described in this picture, it's very simple in fact to start using Smart Likes.

Difficult to explain though (other than just trying it and seeing how it works), you never know what can be unclear.

is there any way you can simplify this concept and make it easier to apply? i have above average intelligence but too many steps for me to bother. something that a layperson can easily do it

You're absolutely right. What you cited was a test version launched at the beginning of 2017,
it worked technically, but people couldn't understand it or didn't use it actively.

That's why the new version of SmartLikes platform will be more user-friendly and simple, and without archiving and with no typing commands manually.

Probably will be ready in June.

Now, not to misinform people, this picture shows the SmartLikes logo, created recently by a professional designer (nico)

I really didn't understand that guide at all I hope you update it this is very interesting. I think if it is difficult to explain maybe a video is in order ?

SmartLikes is more than just monetizing likes,
it's really a new concept,
stay tuned and you'll see.

Currently have a look at MoonWord http://mooncoin.com/moonword,
it's launched and you can use it.

SmartLikes is a more complex thing, the most difficult task is to make it simple for people.
Many PMs were received since Jan, 2017 with ideas how to do it.
However, to convert ideas to a decentralized solution is not so easy.

Yea making smart likes ergonomic for the average user seems pretty important for Mooncoin's success.  Are there any other future plans for Moon?  Are you planning on making a roadmap?  Oh, also what about the subreddit, are there plans to post news/updates there?

Vernon is going to the moon with our moon coins lol
Alt coin market cap is up only 25 billion since cryptsy went kaput... Roll Eyes

You're misinformed.
Vernon's MOON addresses (top 2 seen in block explorers, almost a half of supply)
are unspendable after the fork in March.

just wondering, so what happened to those unspendable mooncoins? are they burned forever? if yes, whats the total supply now?

If this protection works (looks so at the moment, no single move in these addresses since the fork in March),
then these 2 top balances are unspendable (more than 80 bil MOON), which means that even if you have private keys for these addresses,
you're not able to send coins from them, yes, then they are 'burnt' forever, better say 'frozen' though.

Currently no reddit, there are 1 Twitter and 2 Facebook pages (see the OP).
If you'd like to run the Mooncoin subreddit, you are welcome.

There is no roadmap as Mooncoin is not a company, it's backed by many people all over the world and it's difficult/impossible to predict the future,
with what people will come.
E.g. Evangelo recently had surprised us with the Moon Edu Project, but no idea about eta (when it will be finished), it's in progress...

Awesome that is great to hear it's a collaboration.  I do not know who is running the mooncoin subreddit, but it's okay I think it will pick up on it's own.  Thanks for responding so quickly, you guys seem hard at work, it's worth it!

Oh one more thing, is there any ETA on when MOON will be on bittrex?  Is there anyway I can vouch for it to get on bittrex?  I am holding 600m MOON at the moment.

Check the Terms of reddit first. As far as I remember, one can overtake an old subreddit, if it has not been worked on by the original subredditor for a certain time. That would better in terms of that the old subreddit is known on the web (links, search engines, coinmarketcap etc.).

Maybe join forces with Evangelo (as a second admin for the subreddit) to coordinate the PR-work?

You may want to contact them and ask about it.
ETA depends only on Bittrex.
Our dev already completed an enhanced verification there (they requested that).

The Mooncoin 24h volume today is almost $29000, $5500 for MOON/BTC.
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/mooncoin

It indicates the demand - people are ready to buy it even at small exchanges,
even with liquidity risks, and what if big exchanges list it?

The Mooncoin ship is big and needs an ocean, not a pond.

The 30 BTC wall? Even coins which look not interesting at all and have almost no community, except several holders,
but listed at big exchanges - have a volume of 1000 BTC per day.

However, Nova and Bleutrade are very good and time tested exchanges,
they are fast and secure, the Nova strategy (coin-to-coin pairs) is amazing,
who knows, maybe these exchanges will become big players with time, and MOON is one of their most active  markets.

As an addendum/answer to your above question in bold: it was run by deaconboogie (original dev) himself (with the help of other moderators, if I remember correctly). So it should easily be able to get it handed over to a new mod, as he isn't active since long ago, which should classify the subreddit as "abandoned". deaconboogie not appearing again was the main reason, why it was not easy to get MOON back on track, since everyone first was hoping for him to come back for a long time. But unfortunately he didn't, so Mooncoin had to be reformed, which seems to come to fruition more and more with every day passing.

The Moon Edu. project is still in progress, I'm contacting faucet devs at the moment to see who is interested and capable at this point. As always I encourage you to check back every now and then for a status update.

What do I put in cpuminer .bat file to mine?  I'd like to help the blockchain.
It says basic example

$ ./minerd --url=http://myminingpool.com:9332 --userpass=my.worker:password

Can someone give me an example of what they use?

I'm using this miner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55038.0

Thanks ! Grin
