I assume the prices on website are VAT free. Will see when shipment goes through customs as to UK duties.

Yes, you're not being charged Chinese VAT Wink What I'm curious about is whether you'll be charged UK duties, as not everyone apparently gets charged for it Smiley

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Anyone have any luck getting ssh credentials?  I've been asking Lynn without any success.  Maybe if more people keep asking her, she will feel some pressure to get them.

Does anybody have had this problem and able to solve it with the Ebit E9 Plus 9Th/s miner?

Fans are not spinning at all.

0 rpm.

These are brand new  Ebits.

I'm wondering if this is a hardware or a software issue.
These are hosted, so I'm not able to inspect them directly.

One of my E9+ came in with a bad fan.  I ordered some extra fans and the connectors should be here shortly.  I swapped plugs and the plugs were good- just a bad fan.

Nothing happening at all? Or is it showing no number for the fan speed?

Fans are not spinning at all and it shows zero for the fan speed.

It means the hash rate is lower than the miner should have. Shouldn't be lower than 6ths or so based on the PLL.

The ebit miners take a while to reach full speed. This error is the miner complaining about running too slow. You will normally see if the first few minutes the miner is running as it ramps up to full speed. You will also see that when one of the hashing boards has gone bad.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Hey, did you get it already and know how much you have to pay in top in terms of customs and VAT?

It ended up being only that the fans were connected in a wrong way.

And little faulty hardware, one hash board fried.

Be sure to do a very careful inspection for the hardware you order from Ebang..

So taking apart the update and playing with a hexeditor it seems the miner is a homebrew variant of cgminer 4.9.2 (I would guess a spinoff of bitmain's?) While this doesn't help anyone much, there is also a file in there that I *think* you might be able to alter the web login/username (change file re-zip everything and upload) Not 100% on that yet and I don't know enough about reverse engineering binaries to take the miner apart and add in the #xnsub patch..  and there may be some other issues with the whole idea.  Someone better than me might want to look into it. Later (not today) I'll give a whirl at futzing with it and see if I can upload a changed upgrade and if it all dies, well hopefully I can at least change the bank1 bank2 thing and drop back to where it was.   Still doesn't help with ssh creds, but hey.....   it's a start at something.. maybe someone can find a way to upload a file that sets root password or if nothing else adds a user.
