This market is just huge and there’s definitely room for different approaches. Like you said : we're not addressing the same markets at the same time. We think that Golem and iEx.ec are somehow both competing against centralized Cloud providers. So I hope that in the future, there will be enough synergy between the two projects to pool our strengths.

Professional team is not enough, I have seen some ICOs that have nothing to actually offer to space raise significant amount of money from the space, I think it depends on who can make the loudest noise. There is alot of money in Altcoins now and I expect the IEx to generate enough fund for their platform

If they had secured VC funding there wouldn't be a need to ask money through an ICO. The risk for such investments is just too big even if what the development team isn't complete lies. Ethereum and other few coins that went popular after ICOs are just exceptions to how many scams there have been.

You can avoid the scams by doing your research.
The effort involved in authoring the IEX.EC is significant. The aggressive PR and public appearance schedule represents transparency and team motivation. The Bio's of the team indicates deep experience and tenure in the technologies represented in their space.
By the way, their is another reason to hold an ICO beyond raising capital. ICO's are a superior way of vetting your marketing plans, building a community and creating momentum.

The traditional VCs are less visionary, less patient, more demanding for profit,  so hard to get their funding with their traditional clliché for innovation.
ICO can make a great change to support many avant-garde innovation projects.

I think I like the bonus period, the way it is spread will provide a fair advantage to investors also I like the 20% instead of some going for 50% bonus that provide unfair advantage to early investors and this resulted to them taking early profit and resulted to dump in price
