Agree. Those key points are what makes Bitcoin a very useful payment processor, leaving you with complete freedom over your funds. You can lend, trade, earn, and even make a living with Bitcoin. There is no central operator (unlike PayPal) which has control over your funds. No one can freeze of seize your funds, leaving you with complete control of your money with just your private key.

As for point #2, I’d say that Bitcoin would need to improve in that part, as transactions over the BTC network takes hours to confirm. Once BU or SegWit gets approved, then things will change drastically for the digital currency, making it rival traditional payment processors like PayPal, Visa and MasterCard.

I think that for point #2, Dash is suitable for instant transactions, as it has InstantX technology, making transactions confirm in an average of 2-3 seconds.

Nevertheless, I hope that Bitcoin would gain enough traction, and stability for it to become a stronger rival against centralized payment systems. Just my opinion.

Paypal is actually kind of converting your money into the digital thing (balance) and you can still be able to save your balance inside your account and withdraw it if necessary. The thing works like bitcoin just it's more complicated due to the regulation (It's a company offering services in order to gain profit so it's normal) whereas bitcoin is freedom in the digital world.
You're also able to invest through PayPal by funding some projects which seem to be profitable in the future or just hold your dollars and wait until your local currency becoming weak, this thing looks pretty the same to me just bitcoin is more free, just my 2 cents.

yes , Ofcourse but yet it can't be use at international level , Because bitcoin is banned by few countries so we can't say about its use as a international currency or use it at international level .
But I am sure that  in the incoming years bitcoin will comes at the competition level of the PayPal because it has more advantage over PayPal .
Here if you can confirm your payment with confirmations that can't be reverse but in case of the PayPal the sender can reverse the payment .
So hopefully bitcoin will go above of PayPal .

Therefore, we can use bitcoin which act as money and transaction medium. People are using WU, paypal, UAE exchanges to transfer their bitcoin to other countries with the high fees but bitcoin will resolve this problem.

I was wondering sometimes why some of the community here are always comparing Paypal into bitcoin. Does Paypal can be use for trading?Does Paypal has value increase like Gold? these questioned has been pop up in my mind, there are many things which bitcoin is better than Paypal, like Paypal can't be trade in any exchange, and Paypal has no volatility like what bitcoin has. Sending Bitcoin without any fees is just a waste of time, since the chances of your transaction to get confirmed are ultra low. Especially when it's a small ($1-$5) valued transaction. Other than that, when using your PayPal balance, you can transact instantly and without any fees between family, friends, etc.

From my point of view, if Bitcoin would scale up to a point where it can handle large TPS, it would become easily adopted by major merchants and businesses worldwide, leaving path for the digital currency to become a big competitor against traditional payment networks.

But in a payment system, I don't think it can reach anywhere near to Paypal. Because we can't trust anyone online and send payments first and must need to go through escrow and that makes transaction delay and need to pay an extra fee for escrow. But in the case of Paypal, they provide security to buyers, and that's they are so much popular.

I believe that it can reach near to PayPal however it is still far from it. But when it comes to online transactions and payment, many are going to prefer to use bitcoin because it's more cheap though there are problems when it comes to delays. I personally haven't experience those delay yet as there are accelerators available for using.

I think it will possibly happen, we are in technology era now and everything seems to be automated. Look on how the payment system keeps on improving.

Probably there are people or big investor that will prefer to use bitcoin for their payment system or will suggest PayPal to adopt bitcoin.

Because a lot things is happening in the bitcoin world lately, things like high transaction fees which depress common man from adopting bitcoin and which could in some ways affect buying and selling of goods and services on OpenBazaar network. But the OpenBazaar program is maintain properly as peer to peer online commerce with no fees and no restrictions. There's a better chance for bitcoin to overcome paypal/ebay in the future.
