Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal?

Two different things. Paypal is a gateway for currencies and Bitcoin is a currency. I think we might see paypal integrate bitcoin

Paypal is a gateway because it is even willing to accept bitcoin because in PayPal people are storing there money while in bitcoin people are earning money so the main difference is that Bitcoin is a currency and as you said that PayPal is a gateway. Where people can store there money easily.

PayPal also a digital currency, maybe you are not a MMOer as me. In the community of people make money online, we usually use paypal, perfect money, amazon gift card ... to receive our salary through our job. You can check Youtuber, Offer, Survey, Exchanger in the past. But since Bitcoin became popular,  it has changed the payment method for MMOer.

PayPal will stay for sure but start losing it's power slowly.
I'm usually experience this "unfavourable" (saying lightly) exchange rates when switching currencies.
Recently, got email from Skrill saying they lowered sending money fees.
So, they feel competitive pressure from crypto world.

Well, in any situation where I can avoid using PayPal, I'm doing it.
This way, I think PayPal is losing a lot of business to other lower fees processors and to crypto currencies.

Bitcoin is also called a payment system. But I would not compare the system bitcoin and PayPal. These are different financial instruments. PayPal is also likely to receive and serve bitcoin

Why not? In the past, most of the transaction in Bitcoin for the deep web market and the UG community. While, Paypal used for business and it also needs you verify your account if you do not want to have limits account. Both are the payment system, but Bitcoin can supply you a privacy, annonymous system instead of need to vefiry your information like Paypal.

When bitcoin will be known worldwide and in every corner of the earth, surely people will choose bitcoin for being decentralized.  Hassle free and efficient.  No need to convert to another currency if you are sending it to other country.and no banks in between. You don't only have OpenBazaar. Don't forget about overstock.com, that already uses bitcoin in a long time. We keep also seeing rumors about amazon allowing it's customers to use bitcoin, so maybe we will see it eventually. The only things stopping bitcoin from overcoming paypal right now, as a method of payment, is the small tx per second it supports. Once that is solved, then paypal will really need to adapt if it wants to survive.

The biggest obstacle I see is that if the buyer chose Bitcoin as a mode of payment online they are actually shifting the fees from seller (Paypal) to the Buyer. Because in Paypal buyers don't have to incur additional fees for paying something to the seller, while on the other hand the seller is the one who will be incurring the fees because he is the one receiving money from the usage of Paypal's service. I really think it is still a matter of choice of the person who will be paying and receiving the payment.

I think it should. Bitcoin can have low cost ant 2nd layer while paypal aim is to earn mone of users.
Fees are huge in paypal.
And censorsip in paypal KYC suck  big to me.

I think it already has. People need to get with the times and climb on board the Bitcoin train. PayPal was cool in 2000 but not any more. It's just crap and they need to know too much about you. I never liked that. Now I can just buy whatever I want and I don't have to be put through this huge big ordeal just to spend my own money and with ease. Bitcoin is so simply to setup and use and it is so safe. These are my main reasons for saying Bitcoin has already overcome PayPal bit to mention it's a create investment and it's on currency. PayPal is not a currency.

Paypal service in our days are terrible + their bad support. i remember when anybody used paypal to buy things but now they are trying to find some alternative cause paypal is annoying with transaction errors etc....
