Sorry Noob question

but do we get any stake by holding UBIQ coin in the wallet?

thanks in advance.

No, strictly proof of work

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

That is not a stupid question at all.  Currently there is no exchange trading JBS so yes.  If I remember correctly anyway, so if people are still running the POS wallet earning coins only those in the swap snapshot would be credited.  All remaining coins not swapped are held in a multisig wallet till such time someone submits a claim for them.

If you wish to claim JBS to UBQ swap please touch base in the Discord chat and they can get any swaps sorted.

Hi, directly from the discord.com mainpage: "All-in-one voice and text chat that's free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone. Stop paying for TeamSpeak servers and hassling with Skype. Simplify your life."

It simply replaces the Ubiq Slack Channel ( http://slack.ubiqsmart.com/ ) because of some "limitations"

How good a 3x1080Ti Rig will be for UBQ. I am looking for a coin to mine after SIGT.
I also investigate ZCoin (XZC).

You'll be better mining Equihash coins (ZEN, ZEC, ZCL,...) with 1080ti.
1080 is not so good with Ethash coins.

Thanks for the feedback. I still mine ETH with AMD rig but considering switcing to UBQ for future value. Lets see how it is gonna play.

My 1080 Ti's sometimes mine UBQ doing ~38-39 per card at 170W. So what do you mean by `not good` ? The main drawback is that they're expensive.

From what country has Ubiq originated? How is it affected with all these ICO-bans all over?

Nice catch. I am planning to use my 1080Ti rig to mine and hodl sth cheap now but will get value later. So far I looked into Zcoin within Z-family.
I may mine UBQ with as well but equihash/lyra algorithms are suggested much more with Nvidia GPU's.

Maybe I setup another AMD rig for UBQ exclusively and abondon ETH and switch to UBQ with current AMD rig.
