It feels weird to think paying food with Bitcoin. What if something happens like this;

- Hello, I would like to order a milkshake and a cheeseburger.
+ Sure thing, sir. Price is will be 0.04 BTC
- (Pulls out his phone and sends the bitcoin)
- (1 hour later)
- Where is my food?
+ I'm sorry sir, bitcoin network is currently very slow. The chef said if there is no three confirmation, there is no food.
- (Internal screaming)

Oh so when your credit card takes a month to confirm they hold onto the food until it officially confirms? Your logic is flawed. The only way to spend and have it confirm instantly is cash.

Things aren't happening like you are saying. For example with foldapp you can t buy starbucks coffee or etc in seconds. For this you need foldapp bitcoin adress and everything is done perfectly, there is no need for waiting for confirmation. Now many company is going to offer similar service to their customers and soon this prolem will be fixed but to my mind buy food with bitcoin is overconsumption.

In the place where I live also there are still no such possibilities. To use Bitcoin I still need to convert this to fiat. Another solution would be to use Bitcoin debit cards, but I think the rates are a bit high for this, I would like to see the competition increase for companies to lower these rates. But I'm not in a hurry to use Bitcoin, as hold Bitcoin can be a safe way to store value until such services are available.

I'm afraid that in other countres there is a lack of information because not all restaurants or any other business give information to the government or to any other organization that they are using bitcoin too.

That's why sometimes I like USA because mostly every thing is on control and you can find useful information there.

Well I would say that USA doesn't want to be last I think even if the government doesn't have a good relation regarding bitcoin, they are still using the convenient of bitcoin the fast transaction and the earning their country could undergo when they surely accept something like bitcoin, or maybe the government doesn't involve in this kind transaction because it doesn't have a tax that they can manipulate but we would never know for sure.

Bitcoin currently is not designed to calculate the taxes all over the world for the companies that make sales in bitcoin because the percentage changes and the developers have not think about this yet.

But I think that these can be taxed in other ways using third party application that includes the sales in fiat and in bitcoin in one place like shopify.

Not only in your country, many countries restaurants are not accepting bitcoin because many people still don't have awareness about bitcoin. Even the restaurants owners will charges very high taxes with fiat. But coming to bitcoin it has very low fee and people need not pay any taxes if the accpet bitcoin. May be owners afraid about it to accept bitcoins.

Not only that but restaurant owners will surely hesitate to accept bitcoin because of its unstable price and as you said people arent still familiar with bitcoin specially to a place where adoption of bitcoin is very slow. They will not tend to accept bitcoin as a payment for sure.

Don't worry about the acceptance or non acceptance because restaurants are for luxurious so may be the taxes are very high, while paying through bitcoin we have to include those in bitcoin transaction. So may be it is not good deal to pay with bitcoin in restaurants, but still many countries don't have an option to pay through bitcoin.

The same issue here in my country, there's no restaurant that accepts bitcoin since I'm a food lover and most of the time after my pay day. I usually visit different restaurants to try out their main dish. But the sad fact that I want to use my bitcoins upon eating.  I do hope that someday they will realize that bitcoin acceptance is a good help for their business.
im pretty sure they will realize that if and only if they have already the idea on what bitcoin is.. cause basically, these restaurants or foodchains will not accept bitcoin as long as they do not have the idea what its all about. maybe soon for sure. lets just hope for the best. Smiley

That's so great to hear restaurants that accepts bitcoin as your payment, maybe I could eat at my favorite cuisine restaurant even without my wallet at my pocket I can pay the bills through my bitcoin balance; how amazing. Hopefully in my country that would be adopted soon, and the transactions is really fast and convenient for all of us and no hassle.

On OP site there are listed restaurants in USA which accepts bitcoin. It would be nice to see worldwide list of such restaurants.
In my local area I know only one kebab restaurant which accepts bitcoin as payment. But I don't sure that they have many customers who pays with bitcoin.

I think there is in an other form of transaction I think they are certainly getting something on a transaction regarding bitcoin but not much, and I think there are just a few of that transaction that has a fee over tax and not fully all of it, that is why bitcoin is not sturdy on the side of the government because you can not fully control it.

Lol, Even I do not think people paying via bitcoin as it is not been centralized by US Government. We need bitcoin to be centralized first to get accepted by all the people around the world, As I searched here in my city and country I do not find any restaurants which is accepting any kind of digital currencies.

If a certain government would allow bitcoin to be adopted on the businesses of their vicinity then there's no problem at all in fact restaurant owners will surely accept bitcoin as a payment because they could able to hide their income to avoid big taxes which is not really like by the government.

Too bad that's only on US and I wanted to see too that they are going to do the same here in my country.

But still I can even eat to restaurants for paying cash on it and to think that it is just a bonus type of payment if they'll accept bitcoin.

Though that's a good way to help to increase the demand and economy of bitcoin.

I havent encountered any restaurants in my country that accept bitcoins since it is not regulated by my country as of yet. Other than people in this forum, I dont think anyone even knows about bitcoins much. I try to educate people around me and have tried some dealers to accept bitcoins but in vein.
We're in the same boat. My country did not accept bitcoin, even in the suppression of bitcoin. A handful of friends around me know bitcoin, but just know that they don't want to know too much about it, even though I often mention bitcoin in front of them.

Sad Truth about bitcoin not all people could have it and not all merchants want it that is why it is still not the time for a total world wide domination regarding the use of it, and the most sad truth about it, are a lot of people don't have the knowledge in earning, the way it works, and how can they start with bitcoin, it is really complicated in explaining to someone that does not have experience over a computer about this kind of currency!
