Super late to the party. Looks like there was some drama during the launch. Does anyone think this will hit an exchange? Judging by the difficulty it would take me a couple years to hit a block.

I think those that are upset about my launch should just mine that coin instead since I don't think relaunching is the right thing to do because many people besides these miner cheaters were also mining this coin. And I don't think its fair to them to do a relaunch. It would be just wasted hash power.

Here what I said earlier regarding relaunching

Situation is very similar to what happened to ETH during the DAO hack and with ETC being created.

As much as I would think its fair to do another relaunch, I won't for a few reasons. One being that there are a numerous amount of nodes now and I only control one of them, so even if I wanted to do a relaunch I couldn't unless most of those nodes upgraded to the new wallet with a fresh blockchain. Second is that "CODE IS LAW" ideology where even though those miner cheaters did cheat, they didn't actually do anything wrong because it was all in the code.

So even if I did try to relaunch, half the nodes might not agree and there would be a "Pascal Lite Classic" formed AND by relaunching it makes the coin not immutable which is what the basic principle of decentralized cryptocurrencies is all about.

This coin was launched mostly for fun and I tried to keep it fair unlike those other Pascal scam clones with premine and instamining. I am learning programming and thought it would be a good place to start with. I also got nothing out of this either, I haven't mined any coins either besides the 10 blocks before the launch and all those I donated away.

So I would be the one to benefit the most from a relaunch however I won't do it because its just not fair to others.

Any eta on uploading the new wallet chain

This is a complete knock off of Pascal coin, don't support it.  If you really believe in Pascal coin, mine the original coin.. Not this get rich quick scheme.  That's all this is guys, so let's not support it.  Pascal coin was a fare launch, don't get greedy.  Price is still low for the tech and idea.  It's different and I find it solves lots of problems.  All in one wallet, block chain Explorer, messaging system, easy bank account numbers and solves blockchain bloat.

This coin launch uncovered a major flaw in Pascalcoin, you should be happy that it wasn't abused in a serious way on Pascalcoin and that it was quickly fixed. From my understanding one also needs way less than 51% to perform a 51% attack when abusing this flaw.

Instead you go: "Hurr durr it's a fake!11!"

I think what happened was that since not everybody upgraded their wallet to 1.4.3, it was fine until a miner cheated attempted the "time sync hack" and then while on one chain it was accepting blocks while on the other it was blocking any new blocks until 30-90 seconds into the future have passed. So the new block got accepted on one chain but blocked on the other and they got separted.

This happened 10 hours ago, why didn't anyone notice something earlier?
Its alot of wasted hashrate for half a days work.

its the dev for Pascal know wtf more is going on with Pascal-coin than the acual dev who has not even addressed the issue sad sad sad.

Well yesterday I came up with a quick fix solution basically ignoring that entire line that rejects blocks with negative times, but I didn't want to launch a new wallet because I had no idea what would happen when half the nodes would accept blocks and the other half would reject them so I just left it the way it was.

TurboPascal Coin however is the only coin that won't have any issues since they launched with version 1.4.3 from the very start so they don't have to worry about forking issues.

I think you are better off fixing it sooner than later, once a pool gets on this coin you have a larger chance to experince the thing that happened with nanopool vs sprnova both putting lots of hashrate to
the different chains.

to clarify this , if its just individual miners on the wrong chain they eventually switch back to the main chain or thier fork dies, although there could be other bugs in his code

Most likely I am probably done with any further developments of this coin. I will leave it "AS-IS" and keep the main node running for as long as its required and any developer is welcome to take-over.

I thought it would be educational and everything but its not fun getting threatening PMs saying that I stole people's hash power by introducing a coin with bug in it. And they demand that I pay them back when I don't have anymore coins to give away.

Maybe I would put up with these threats and everything if I at least got paid for it but I did this purely for fun and not monetary gain. My time would be better spent dealing with other business ventures where I get paid at least and I'm not threatened.
