For the late comers, and those who want to order additional chips after this is over, there are at least two new Group Buys for chips.

One is based in the Philippines, Asia. The other is based in Germany, Europe. You take your pick where you like, probably depends on your geographic location, and if you already have a builder (electrical engineer) in mind.

[Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu)

[Group Buy] Avalon ASIC chips, destination Philippines (Dabs)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187457.0

We both have the same price, however we don't know the fiat part, but that will be announced in due time. I'm confident it won't be much, and we will also accept bitcoin as payment.

*edit* There's a new guy from Nederlands who is also proposing his own Group Buy.

Taking a cue from this thread, my group buy will close either after 10,000 chips have been met, or we exceed 10,000 chips and I simply order that new amount. Ideally, I will prefer to stick to a flat 10,000 and simply refund the 10,001th chip order. Blockchain is proof. First pay according to block, first served. If a lot pay in the same block, I'll include everyone in that last block and refund the next block.

Anyone know how long it takes to transfer funds from bank (via Dwolla) into MTGOX account? I started on 4/22 - the money is gone from my bank and nothing is in my MTGOX ACCOUNT!

It can take Dwolla 2-5 days to get the money from your bank and cleared, then the transfer from Dwolla to Mtgox can take like 5 hrs to clear.

Dwolla to MtGox has usually been faster than that for me, but my last such transfer about a week ago took 2 or 3 days to go through. It was only for $30, too...not exactly a huge amount.

I'm fairly sure that if he does not reopen this thread and stay true to his word, this whole thing is going to fall to pieces.

I will step in if that happens and handle distribution. Messaging JohnK right now to see about verifying my identity with him. If raginazn pulls through, great. But I'm not about to let this all fall apart.

I agree with you and have my support

You have my support as well. We are all adults here. John K and nebiz have done a great job in keeping things professional and friendly. I mean no offense to the OP, but we all have common interests here and there's no reason for this order not to happen.

And let wrenchmonkey send his coins for god's sake!

I woke just now to this mess again.   Angry Why does the drama always take part when I'm absent?

My take on this:

As what I said last time, this is a first come first serve group buy due to the fact that people always seem to be pulling out in the last minute and delaying everything. Whoever's funds come first will get the space in hand, period.

Can we get a general trajectory from everyone who hasn't read up on the current thread by noon pacific tomorrow?  That should be plenty of time for the world to respond to this series of events.

I have put together a list of key stakeholders, which I have defined as people who own more than 2% of the buy.  These people corresponded to 75% of the BTC stake last night.  If you are a key stakeholder and not on the list, let me know.  I used a spreadsheet which hasn't had buy ins updated for a day.

Key Stakeholders:

RagingAzn628, Rallye, freeworm, alle.sello, sveetsnelda, aceat64, Bicknellski, Immuzikation, atcsecure, Egon, spinner, ryepdx, CoinHoarder, Kushedout, spanishfry, dserrano5, flowdab

Glad you are here. Could you open the thread please ?

1. ragingazn has no right to lock this
2. people will be misled and will not send money if it says we are closed! - also in the first post in red he mentioned we are closed - that needs to be removed as well!

At this point, given the series of incident, I would really like ryepdx to take over the shipment instead of ragingazn.

We are now closed! Please stop sending btc! Ataxx has assured me 100% that he will send btc by Sunday!

We should be going according to the blockchain here - as per what we stated in the OP last time.

Wrenchmonkey, this is an endorsement to send the coins, regardless of OP. They will be in escrow for now.

ryepdx please campaign among these stakeholders by PM, not forum post, so we aren't gumming up new contributions to hit our goal.

JohnK can we have a moratorium on the purchase until noon PST tomorrow if we hit our goal?

Can we all also discuss credentials that the receiver should have to provide to JohnK.

I'm trying to get in touch with him here to clarify this.

Angry This is the worse escrow I've done ever - and that's saying a lot seeing that I've done a couple of 2k+ BTC escrows in this two months, and over 150+ regular escrows of varying amounts.

Note that my terms stay the same here - my responsibility for the funds stop at the point when the funds are in to Avalon.

I'm still hoping that this is resolved though - it would take a lot of PITA to see this fall apart. I'm sorry for Ataxx, but this has to be a first come first serve deal as stated in the OP.

I'll work through the paid list and update the spreadsheet first. I will revert the first post to the original if I still don't get any updates from OP in an hour.

Aren't you glad I didn't ask you to escrow my group buy? I thought, maybe he's too busy or something. What I could do, if people have a trust issue, is verify my identity and creds with you, since you're just a border away from me. I was hoping the fact that I'm in the service (mil) and I also have physical locations for pick up, would encourage residents and aliens in the country.

I, bitcointalk.org member dgarrett, have sent 1.08 BTC to escrow address 1At75rKd6e8b7S7AAPzZ5V3kAzhkGYhnpU with the intention of ordering 13 Avalon mining ASIC chips as a part of the group buy organized by bitcointalk.org member ragingazn628 and escrowed by bitcointalk.org member "John (John K.)".

The payment was sent my Bitcoin address 17RXcRMUiXqsQkCqqYKXJkP1B4Lqm47hFB in transaction 9aec2f45059f191dfa9c9691616580c517b27c15a9555570e83589e116def697 and was sent on April 26, 2013.

Signature: HA/r3kBi3HcDLudy2d0yzz5RnQtQ8ASgUzuTDn9F2BeeJVx5SzOaqb4pEblziZ0shAXB2zSF4eyjYJTu8vGKDfs=

I sent 10.035 BTC for 128 chips

TX ID f9e8ff8e1e72af536556d0715ec82f85f9c26b85d6539a40f37913af12b0ba33

Hi John,
I upped my order by 1 BTC
https://blockchain.info/tx/3e4de7feb184fde13660deb2d769ac4828186afef19e7e8f3bc1fd245bd2e818

thanks for the great work, and sorry that you ended up with most of the work.
tip for you will come tomorrow ( 5 Ghash/s hard at work )

just an FYI, the chips are very very small, i think most people here in the forum wont believe how small there actually are. the measure only 7mmx7mm.
and they most likely come in tubes of 100 PCS only about 2 feet long each. 100 of those tubes will fit in a box roughly the size of a micro wave.

regards,
-Jay
Upped, thanks for the clarification.

Please continue sending the BTC.

Sweet! Less QQ more pew pew! Lets get this order in guys! Send them bitcoins! Woot!

A little update about Neo Asics

Our lead developer said that he can put together an Asics machine for the chips easily even without Avalon releasing their schematics. We're researching the necessary parts now Wink another step forward!
