talking to neo-asics via skype now
Let us know what you find out. The gist he said to me: Neo-asics (aka prodigits7) is in the boston area and raging is in CT. They met recently to try to get this figured out, raging has no assembly experience and his just trying to collaborate to get them made, which is why he originally contacted prodigits. It is my understanding that neo-asics.com is all prodigits responsibility. raging showed prodigits his paypal and his knc order in person when they met. prodigits also said that raging did indeed seem to be depressed over his family matter. Raging paid for and got parts for an avalon clone which prodigits made, ragingazn hasn't contacted strombom since his hiatus and prodigits says he wishes to pay for whatever is owed and source more parts. prodigits has a factory to make the units in northern mass. prodigits said he will trying to figure out what is going on at customs with the sample chips and is meeting someone wednesday to figure it out. Prodigits said the reason the site was down for a while was because it was hosted for free on service by ragingazn. since azn let it expire, prodigits offered to move the site to his own server, which he did. Prodigits will be in the New york city area in the near future and wishes to talk to whoever is worried about this in person and he is trying to get raging to come with him. prodigits is also trying to call john k about the same matter and wants to assure everyone that john has both of their personal info and are simply trying to fix the situation and will consider any solution. I suggested that I go to raging's house and personally ship the chips to whomever wants to run the shipping leg of this and he was extremely open to that suggestion. He also wants to reiterate that he is not a copycat of raging and is simply trying to mediate the situation. If I forgot anything, please post here and I will call him back later to ask him if he doesn't respond here. thanks. I can confirm my conversation with Noitev, I've been going back and forth with ragingazn628 and JohnK so I'm confident the KnCMiner orders will be verified with visual proof in the next 24 hours with a screenshot being provided by JohnK. I've also been agressively discussing proposed solutions with Noitev on how best to handle the current situation. We will be meeting up in person this weekend and will actively come up with a resolution for everybody involved. Stay tuned everybody...

For those who are worried about my other group buy...
I just sent JohnK my KNC account and password so he can log on and verify all the orders.
I am here to stay and I am not worried about anything and you guys shouldn't be either.
Not worried? No chips in sight!

Now that ragin is back online, I'm open to selling my 40 chips from this group buy - PM me with (sensible) offers. I already have an assembler (mitten mining) lined up for 3 x K16s (one half full), and I will take the hit on the assembly for the unfilled half of the third board. So if you buy 40 chips, you get the last 8 chips assembled for half the cost of a K16 if you stick with my assembler. He's a great guy, and given he has already gone to some expense, I would prefer to sell to someone who will assemble with him. If offers are close and one takes mitten assembly, it will be favored. Cheers scotjam

I can assure you that I'll be working with Noitev in NYC over the weekend to get a resolution in place. Anybody else that wants to meet with me is also welcome, just send me a PM for time and place.
Being only a mediator, I can handle only one "crisis" at a time. So I'll be focusing more of my time and energy on this group buy now.

Thanks for the update. I'll be anxious to hear how the meeting with the customs agent in NYC goes.

I don't get it. Is there any chance of getting the chips out of customs? Can the tracking number be posted into this thread so we can call the customs and ask the wtf is going on??

Note that the 10k chips itself are not sent yet. SS of my order page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262371.msg2983646#msg2983646Ragingazn's current order is not in the SS (as my order page is too long), but according to it just now we're still stuck at this: Order #10129 made on April 27, 2013. Order status: sample-chip-shipped.

Thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that all 10k chips were stuck in customs. On that note, I'm taking offers for my 179 chips. Buy it now price is 12 BTC (I paid 14.34+ BTC) You can even take ownership of the 0.06197 BTC I overpaid.

Bear in mind I think some people received their chips without it being reflected in shipping info (if I'm remembering correctly). They just showed up unexpected, apparently.

Yep, that's true. That occurred with the sample chips for the last few orders I had. The shipping info was updated about 2-3 days later.
