Unless we pay JohnK a set percentage for a fee, I feel bad for making him collect all the information of chip transfers and who owns what. It's not his fault this turned out to be such a mess. I think in hindsight he wouldn't of got involved to begin with. I think we as a group should collectively figure it out and present him a spreadsheet.
Perhaps we can get a google doc going or something for a list of chip transfers.

I agree, if we cant get the spreadsheet from Ragin', we need to form a new spreadsheet and have a gatekeeper to can vet the transactions and verify. Once a list is made, we should have a 1-2 week window to give people who might have purchased their chips from somebody else a chance to contest (and prove) their ownership of the chips, and label anybody proven to be lying with the scammer tag... Whoever is willing to spearhead this project (has to be somebody with a decent amount of trust) should be able to collect a small fee just like John K did for his escrow service.
What a pain in the ass. John K, I'm sorry you got mixed up in this mess. Let me know how I can help.

I'm really good with spreadsheets. I enjoy it, so if you guys are willing to compensate me a little for my time, I'll prepare a spreadsheet tonight by walking through the thread and documenting everyone's switch. I haven't spearheaded any group buys or anything, but I'm sure some of you know me from Arklan's group buy for Erupters and a smattering of involvement in steamboat's group buy (batch 3 and 5). In addition, I've verified my identity with John K once before so he knows I am who I say I am. Can re-verify if you guys want. Let me know.

That's awesome - thanks BigBenInLondon BTW, out of the 84 pages of posts, I have been through pages 1-42 and there were no confirmed sale transactions yet in those first 42 pages (although atcsecure was offering to sell). Hopefully that saves you some time.

I'd be willing to do it as well for a very small fee (maybe 0.1% plus tips) I can verify with john.
I think we should probably wait for John to update anyway.
additionally, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to ask Ragingazn should cover the 1.5% from the escrow and return his handling fees so people get what they put in.
Additionally I talked to prodigits and apparently, due to the way the chips were shipped, they seemed to be in customs the whole time (according to a status log) and raging is due to get them any day now since they are now in transit. I don't know what to do with those honestly...

I'm just putting something together to try to track this. Unfortunately, your name isn't on the original spreadsheet, bitrocket. Can you share the original purchase name used on the GDocs spreadsheet? (see the link from post number 1 in this thread).

Cursory examination of the google doc on OP shows total chips to be 10851.83, or 10836 if all values are truncated. This spreadsheet is a mess. Note to all; colors in spreadsheets are not a good way to show data. It doesn't always sort properly, and it makes it difficult to include cells in subsequent calculations. For instance, a bunch of these rows are red. Does that mean they aren't included? Ugh. I've got my work cut out for me. Edit: Evidently chip sales were represented at the end of the spreadsheet. All's well. I'm copying to a new spreadsheet to get rid of some of the crazy clutter.

I think JohnK can make return to original payment address. If somebody sell chips, then must forward this payment to buyer. This is simple.

Can you share the original purchase name used on the GDocs spreadsheet? (see the link from post number 1 in this thread). He's not in the spreadsheet because we posted the transaction in ryepdx's Stumptown thread (see link above), since that is where the chips were going to be sent and bitrocket wanted in on ryepdx's assembly ... and I didn't feel like involving raging. The link above is the post from that thread that will verify the transaction. (Either way would work since we're thinking of going 55nm with the refund).

I have taken the liberty of setting up a Google form to collect all this information to hopefully facilitate a seamless refund (and take as much workload off John as possible). I am using this as the frontend for a spreadsheet to track refunds and transfers which will ultimately be used to generate a "sendmany" transaction that John should be able to execute in one command with bitcoind. We will of course check, double, and triple check the transaction when it comes to that point (or leave it to him if he chooses to go a different route) but I'm just trying to put some organization to this chaos in the interest of just putting this all behind us. (I should note that we aren't even sure we'll get a refund so all this may be for naught; but it's better than sitting on our hands). I apologize to those who have already submitted this information in the thread but as you can imagine, it is pretty impossible to accurately track this stuff on more than 80 pages of forum posts (as well as use this information in a manner to streamline refunds). So please use this link for your refund / transfer information. I realize that anonymity is of concern, so all fields are optional. It will of course degrade the usefulness of the spreadsheet if you omit fields, but it is ultimately up to you. In the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that I will of course be sharing the information collected with John K at a minumum. Additionally, BigBenInLondon and / or ryepdx may be helping with the spreadsheet construction (though I think I have it mostly under control). There are some oddities with the amounts (and usernames) that will need to be hashed out; and I may need to enlist the help of one or both of them since I do have a life outside this forum. Here is the form for refund / chip transfer tracking:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Db9Xx8NYvjnq-Pm7MmuVgWauTP1qSaFRyemI_sa5DkA/viewform

Also, for those curious, I did think of creating a new thread for this so it would all be reflected in the top post but opted not to. I didn't want to open another thread for people who weren't involved in this and potentially open the door for people not in the group buy to sully the form / spreadsheet with erroneous data and submissions. We will still need to be mindful of this, but keeping it in this thread minimizes the chances of that being an issue, I think.
