I've heard that EON will have its own exchange and they also use their own platform this may be one of the reasons for the delay.

Exchanges will be started in Q1 2018. It is not meens that it will be January=) It could be end of March

If they do want it, they can be listed on several exchange while waiting their own exchange ready to use. I mean it almost a year since the announcement and yet still no a single exchange

Exchange release is probably mid February, 15th of January being the public testing phase of the exchange. You idiots think that a product like this (it's not only an exchange, far from it) can be made in few months? You will be grateful in the end they made you wait, when they deliver the goods, and only then let you trade your coins. If everything goes well, this can be a multi billion coin. Maybe not at the very start, but over time for sure. So shut the f*** up and wait a little bit more.

Oh my Goodness what a long delay its Q1 2018 now and still no goodnews about the exchange! What took the team so long to finalize the eon blockchain I heard almost 50 devs are working on this project and the progress was too slow.

Since timeline has been shifted the devs are strict with time management. We are entering the third phase of the blockchain testnet in mid January including exchange beta testing which will be done simultaneously.
