Hmm, I could not find any development roadmap for the FTC for this (and next) year? Or the coin has already all relevant tech built in Cool

The 0.13 wallet just got released yesterday. So most of the important tech is now implemented. Obviously development won't stop there but it is already a major step.

http://forum.feathercoin.com/topic/9542/feathercoin-0-13-binaries

Thanks for this update! Looks like they came across a minor bug so it will be a few days before the actual final release, but exciting stuff!

I'd love to see FTC on Binance, and that requires the "CEO/Lead Dev/Founder" to apply. Exposure to their 5 million new users could be a boon, since Poloniex doesn't want us on their exchange. It's awesome that we have Cryptopia, Bittrex and UpBit though! That could be enough!  Other good and new exchanges look like KuCoin, Coinnest, Bit-Z, gate.io etc. We are still on Coinexchange.io but I guess coinmarketcap delisted it. Must be too scammy.

I hope this doesn't translate into anything but excitement for the future of this coin!

Why Poloniex doesn't want FTC?

They insist on a unique genesis block for every coin. FTC shares the genesis block with LTC. That's a weird demand, really.

Yes...and they go against their own policy because they listed Bitcoin Cash (BCH) which shares the same genesis block as BTC.

I have messaged them multiple times and have tired to get an answer out of them but they just refuse to respond.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

They did the same with Ethereum Classic before.

This coin is going to explode soon!  Wink

Any reason why you think this?

I'm certainly hopeful as I'm mining it (and have been for sometime) with my balance slowly accumulating.

I found it to be fairly stable throughout the last few months of volatility which was a nice change from most of the alts!

The only reason I think this, is the current valuation doesn't make sense to me. How can an established old coin with an active developer have the same marketcap as total shitcoins that haven't had development in months?
Either the market expects bushstar to go work for another coin again, or I'm missing a piece of the puzzle.

Wow, this coin still alive? I don't get how DogeCoin which was made as a joke has more volume then this coin
It is made truly, I am surprised to this event. If to speak seriously, then already long ago the project goes further and develops. Coins even bargain on a top the exchanges and I think them waits for success in the future. Though you should not think concerning future price. Give just will are patient and we will wait.

v0.8.7.4 should be compatible as it doesn't reject blocks with nVersion > 2. Well, until the new features like SegWit get activated.

I have recently seen a lot of positive comments, tweets and articles about Feathercoin. I remember that years ago I owned some coins but sold since of little progress. Is there something new or why are so many focus on Feathercoin again? Just want to understand and (maybe) invest (again).

Feathercoin sometimes seems slow or quiet...but it's a steady and stable coin.

There's been newer focus on the Anti-Asic technologies like NeoScrypt as well as a focus on the older blockchains that have sucessfully been running for a while now.

Feathercoin was released in 2013 which is many many moons ago in the crypto world.

Feathercoin recently had a new release of 0.13 and the original founder has rejoined the team after a little break.

There are great things ahead as we move to Activate SegWit and move forward with our own lightning network and DAPPS.

Biggest reason is segwit activation. Other reason are that developer is back with newer improvements and the ridiculously low valuation in comparison to other coins. I can see this coin at a $1 in a year so...

Dapps? Are there more information available how Feathercoin will utilizes decentralized apps? Will there be a new layer introduced?
