We can all agree the safest place for your coins is your storage. I would like to see some people trying to withdraw there coinz from cryptsy, as this shit isnt supposed to be fractional reserve so bank runs shouldny matter.

http://blog.cryptsy.com/post/100831839452/response-regarding-lawsuit

Never used their services but I'll admit the amount of pr before actually serving  the lawsuit is suspicious.  Similarly to way they made Ross out to be someone who orders contract hits.

Is there any site where i can make bets if they go down within the next 3 months?  Cheesy
Lawsuit+Coinexchange = almost guaranteed death.
Most(all) of them had shady operations in the past.
It´s almost ironic but i think that the only true anonymous (and most shady) exchange "BTC-E" will probably stay alive longest.

Except is the claim of one person representes by a law firm with a scare tactic pr stunt. Im not defending cryptsy and would advise anyone with worries to remove funds or coinz but to assume there doomed on this info is sheer fud.

I never traded on cryptsy, but i have read multiple complains over the last months/years where people had massive problems with them. Showing false balances/Withdrawl of coins not possible.... If they find a few other per persons willing to sue them they will almost definitely go down.

This. It is actually a decent commentary in that it calls out some scams but is supportive of blockchain technology. A bit vapid, but pretty practical and on point.

My personal favorites for BTC exchanges that will "dissapear" in the next months are either Bitfinex or Huobi. Just a wild guess.

UPDATE:   Angry Wink Angry

Poloniex seems to be down. I was on the troll box when it froze so I hit F5 when it refereshed it had a Brad Pitt pic, then nothing. It seems dead right now. Can anyone confirm or rebut that Poloniex has been hacked?

What kind of Brad Pitt pic?

There seems to be a network issue. Working to resolve now.

Brad Pitt from Fight Club maybe....It was just there momentarily and had some graffitti style writing I couldn't make out.

Looks like a hack to me.

If Bernie Madoff and People like shawn merrimen havent turn the fiat financial system to shit then these frauds are but hiccups and serious lessons for the future users about proper control of keys.

yes, someone should be running an options or prediction market on failed exchanges. To hedge if nothing else, CDS or similar.

Poloniex works for me...  Smiley

Back on topic, if you take a look in bitcoinity there is less than 5k to 400$ on stamp. Few ask walls were removed.

If we see $400 again this weekend I'm divesting half my stash. I'm finished hodling
