we will goto $300 very very soon, liquidity at current prices is to low, demand is growing every minute and bb walls are going up Cool

$266 is a barrier we need to break first

It is true.

For a moment I thought it would go straight to test 300 without difficult, but the price refuse to go above 266 like there is a hidden bunker wall that can't be passed

if there is some a big move into bitcoin in greece, say this time next year 10% of greek pop uses bitcoin and its accepted everywhere in greece we could very well see 32,000$ in less than 2 years. 10% of greece's pop is ~1 million poeple, assuming these 1million poeple hodl a 500$ balances in bitcoin we're looking at half a billion dollars pumped into bitcoin, but it won't stop there, having a real world economy use bitcoin is going to improve investor confidence, and i could easily see 10-20billion get pumped into bitcoin as a result, but it won't stop there, economies will crash around the world one by one, and seeing how greeks all got rich off of using bitcoin, they will all want to do the same thing, the decentralization of world domination is well under way! but it won't stop there aliens will come down from the heavens and buy bitcoin.

Is it that easy ?

I think coins will leak in via tourists.

Could be, but what I was asking about is, will banksters and all the current people who benefits from the current centralized finical ecosystem, will they let the revolution take place with that ease ?

Why would you ask them for permission?

Actually it's not permission, but the language of power/force is the one which will take place.

Will these people lose their power and ultra-mega-profits they make from the current system that easily ?

Their power will diminish.

I agree, but how and when ?

It's not easy as Adam and others think.

Changing chairs and places were never easy and will never "be".

Just have coins.

You want me to keep buying and HODLing you mean ?

Why not? Buy when you please, sell when you please, but holding some supports the value.

Bitcoin is useful now for some people for some types of trade. Since the penetration is so low, that means there are other people out there with the same kind of needs, so bitcoin will expand. When bitcoin expands, its liquidity increases, which means that new types of needs can be met. It is a chain reaction.

Just hold some coins, wait. It does not hurt to tell people, but it is not necessary. Those who make good use of bitcoin will tell their friends.

The esteemed professor must be lecturing or something.
Its about 5.40 pm in Brazil so he's probably driving back home after a hard days lecturing. Is it Brazil that has huge traffic jams or somewhere else? He'll likely also have his dinner before he starts posting here so give it a few more hours.

Actually at 5:40 PM I was planning to prepare to gather will power to start writing a quiz for my 21:00-23:00 class.  Going home now...

While posting that last post I missed who wished me a happy Canada Day and then deleted it, but thanks and I'll extend the greeting to Adam and all the rest of the Canucks around here.

Cheers.

Oh, I see we're back over $260 again.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-33339363

Greece has missed the deadline for a €1.5bn (£1.1bn) payment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), hours after eurozone ministers refused to extend its bailout.

But the ministers say they will discuss a last-minute request from Greece for a new two-year bailout on Wednesday. hmmmmmmm

Lots of times, especially in the bad old days when last call was at 1:00AM and most bars still didn't pack beers to go in paper bags.

It wasn't beer in those days though, usually rye, but it was cheaper than booze cans.

I don't bother any more though. I live in the neighborhood so we usually just get a few beers to go at 2:45 and go to someone's house for an afterparty where we can smoke, toke, drink and do whatever away from prying eyes and ears.

Only suburbanites and other tourists go to booze cans any more... too much cocaine, too expensive and they're all under control of the bikers and infiltrated by cops. In the old days they were actual booze cans, catering to entertainers and bar employees., and run by members of the community.

On-topic: Price dipped back under $260 again but has since gone back up almost to $261.  Cheesy

Happy Canada Day once again. Too bad I cant send you a shot of Crown Royal through the blockchain.  C'mon Vitalik, get that together.  Grin
______

Edit: The weirdest cold-tea-style experience I've had was in Little Italy in the early 1980s. The men's Barzula joint across from our gig offered us a "special" coffee after hours despite the fact we were "Inglese" because we were musicians.

I was appalled to see them lace our coffees with what appeared to be olive brine, but the olives must have been wax or plastic because the "brine" turned out to be overproof grappa. Go figure.

Oh, we were briefly over $261 and now we're back under $260.
